Lollidrops Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in Jasper

As I entered Lollidrops with my son, I instantly found myself transported back in time to memories I loved so much. Looking through the selection of candy and goodies, I recalled a simpler time when I was a boy with my grandpa going through our Main Street drug store for some sweets and a milkshake. The fixtures, the selection, the aromas and the wonderful staff that offered incredible service made this walk back in time worth every penny. And the ice cream... Oh My God! The ice cream is some of the creamiest, buttery sweet goodness I’ve ever eaten and the prices are on par with other premium ice cream shops, however Lollidrops scoops are HUGE! Finally I have to say the sweet young lady who owns the shop, Amanda was the sweetest and most sincere person I’ve encountered in a long time. You can tell she really cares about her community and providing the best quality and service to everyone that walks in the door. Today my travels took me to a small town in North Georgia (The First Mountain City - Jasper, GA). If you are in the area I would recommend to stop in and get a scoop!

I was really excited to finally get here because they serve the oldest ice cream in America (Bassetts Ice Cream). Great vibe as you walk in and see all the candy and toys! Very Vibrant and welcoming!

The girl behind the counter was very friendly and I loved her smile! She was not too knowledgeable about the flavors and when they change out. The menu board was out dated!

Out of the 20 flavors they carry I tried at least 15 of them (not the non-dairy or ice). Their coffee was very nice and had a smooth coffee flavor. The Peanut Butter, S’mores and Praline had great flavor!

The Peach was smooth but lacked the peach flavor punch. The Pomegranate Blueberry was a little gritty and not much flavor. The Salted Carmel Pretzel was good but unfortunately the pretzel gets stale.

Lollidrops operates a small ice cream and candy store with coffee & toys at: 17 S. Main St, Jasper , Ga. 30143. Our single retail dipping shop has old fashioned Bassett's ice cream via dipping freezer from 2.5 gallon containers in 20 different flavors. We also carry nostalgic candy by the bulk and packaged goods, as well as to go coffee & Toys. We live in Jasper and love the old downtown district. My wife and I decided to bring some old fashion charm back into this district for all family and friends to enjoy, a 1920's themed Ice cream parlor and candy store.
