Snaps — Restaurant in Jasper

Snaps is an amazing local restaurant. They have an excellent ambience, and selection of craft beers. I have been multiple times with a large family group. We came at 4 ish both times, and they accommodated us perfectly with a large side room. The appetizers are all delicious esp the fried pickles and beer cheese. This restaurant is perfect for couples as well as large groups, and they have a full bar. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The Flight is a perfect way to sample their large selection of beers, with six smallish glasses of beer per flight. Snaps is always a must for us when we are in this area, and our extended family goes regularly. A total treat in the historic downtown of Jasper. The offerings include a variety of sandwiches as well as Fish, Beef, Pork, and Chicken dinners, and also Gator. I have personally tries the Reuben and the Parmesan Chicken. After living in Jasper nearly my whole life, I'm ashamed to admit that I am only just now able to say that I've eaten at Snap's for the first time. But hey, better late than never! Lol. My grandmother took me out for lunch and highly recommended that I try their "gator bites"... Not gonna lie, I was slightly apprehensive to confidently order alligator (for the first time, too) in Jasper, Indiana. But since she couldn't say enough positive things about them, I gave in and ordered them as my main dish... Long story short- OH MY LAWD WERE THEY AMAZING! Definitely did not disappoint. Overall, they did a great job leaving a positive first impression on me. Now it all makes sense why Snap's is considered one of Jasper's staple restaurants. I actually wish there was a lower rating. My family and I made a reservation at Snaps a few days ago. First time eating here we were all very excited, we waited on our drinks for 15+ minutes and all we had were sodas. And 30+ min for food. I understand corona virus has confused many companies lately but lord never had such a rough experience. I had a red strawberry drink spilled on my shirt by the waitress she said “it will wash off in the bathroom” what a great comment when the shirt I was wearing was white and tan!! The food was decent but the prices are crazy, which would’ve been fine if the same waitress wouldn’t of kept 10$ of my change after paying. My bill was $62 something I gave her 80$ She brought me 7$ back... I still tipped because I always do but never...
