Domenico's Italian Restaurant & Catering — Restaurant in Jefferson City

Brought my mom and kids here on Sat and was highly disappointed. Tried to order and our waiter walked away in the middle of me talking. Then came back and took order. We waited about an hour to get our food which was expected because it was busy. Me and my mom both ordered steaks. I got mushrooms and onions with mine. When the waiter brought our food he didnt even have us check our steaks to make sure they were cooked right. Well my mom ordered a medium steak and mine was supposed to be medium rare. Hers was perfect. Mine however was way over cooked and barely even pink in the middle. Mind you, I'm paying almost $40 for this steak. The waiter never came back until he was bringing the check and I had barely eaten any of my food because my steak was way over cooked and my veggies and mashed potatoes were cold when they came to the table. So I let the waiter know about the issues and he just says he's sorry. He brings the bill which is almost $200. I asked if he was going to even try to make things right and he says he took $5 off the bill and heres some cheesecake and walks off. I dont mind paying a lot for food, but I expect it to be cooked right and for the service to be good. Neither of these things happened. I will definitely not go back which is a shame because I was super excited to try...

I think the only good thing I can say about this was how fast we got seated. The food wasn't bad but way over priced. We decided to try this place out as we are up for trying new places. Once we were seated the waiter came over and told us he'd be our server and that he'd be right back to get our drink order. After about 5 minutes he came back to get our drink order and immediately said I'll be right back and went to the booth in front of us to joke around and chit chat. He finally brought us our drinks after getting our drink order and when we finally ordered we waited forever for our appetizers and then it took forever to get our food. He kept going over to joke with the customers at the bar. When we got our appetizers and he finally took our food order, I had to ask for silverware so our daughter could eat her appetizers. My husband was out of soda for at least 15 minutes and had to ask for a refill. I don't think we will return as the food was too over priced to have to wait this long. To top is all off they did not have any garlic bread. We honestly waited longer for our food and had worse service than we have a Texas Road House or even Olive Garden who are far busier...

Okay, this was pretty rough experience. We made reservations well in advance and were looking forward to the experience. When we came in, the restaurant was almost empty. When we were shown our table, we asked to move into one of the four empty booths. The young lady who sat us was very nice and said it was okay. As soon as we sat down, the hostess came and very rudely told us there was a large party coming in so we could NOT sit at a booth. I thought, "Okay, no biggie. But it wasn't neccessary to be so loud and rude." Our waitress was okay, she was friendly and helpful, but it was hard to pay much attention to the waitress when we noticed two people, not part of a group come in and sit at the table we were told was part of a BIG group. Customer service: ZERO STARS.

On to the food. Dry bread, small portions and a chicken parmigiano that had a tendon the size of a garden hose running right up the middle.
