I absolutely love this place. I first discovered it through Uber Eats, and I ordered their Florentine Benedict and my oh my, I’ve never had such a perfect to-go order of a Benny before. I was so impressed that I brought my family here today to see if they taste as good as the takeout. The atmosphere is really cozy; even though they’re a small spot, it feels very homey. The staff were incredibly kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Florentine Benny, Chilaquiles Rojos (spicy and mouthwatering), Santa Fe Skillet, and a veggie omelet. The caramel macchiato wasn’t to my expectations, it was very milky and didn’t taste the espresso but everything else was amazing.
Our server, Brandy, was very friendly, when one of my sisters asked for sunny side up, but meant over medium, Brandy kindly brought her another egg. I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back with my family and will keep ordering takeout. All five stars are well deserved, I honestly don’t understand why others haven’t had such a...
Read moreFirst time in, very happy with everything, most importantly and notably, THE FOOD!! The chef (and owner), made us an excellent breakfast, great ingredients. Morales is the real deal! While most vegetarian options at a diner feel like an afterthought, the “Healthy Omlette” I had included fresh mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and goat cheese (!), fantastic. We heard from the owner that he will soon be changing the name of his restaurant, to the “City Bird Cafe”, and if for some reason he has to lose all the positive reviews he’s garnered, I’ll definitely be back to re-post my review so our neighborhood can keep this gem for...
Read moreThis far surpassed expectations - I love a Benedict for brunch and this place had one of the best I’ve ever had - not only was it unique (chipotle hollandaise, strip steak, arugula, caramelized onion, French bread) BUT it was also perfectly executed. Poached eggs were what all poached eggs aspire to be, whites perfectly cooked and yolks lovely combo of runny and a tiny bit jammy. Steak seasoned and perfectly cooked, hollandaise delicious and intact and the French bread seemed like it had been buttered and fried on a flat top on both sides giving just the right amount of crunch to add needed texture but not tear the roof of your mouth apart. I...
