Five stars just isn’t even enough. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. The food is incredible, and every single person who works there is an absolute treasure and is honestly so fantastic at what they do. When we are there, we really feel like we are among friends. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. We always sit in Ray’s section and we love him so much. He’s 100% on top everything, even through their busiest times, and he takes such great care of us! At this point he feels like a good friend and we look forward to our time there so much. The service everyone provides is so, so good! I’m not sure who does the hiring or where they find such great people….but the people who work there really are all so special.
We have never had any food there that wasn’t absolutely delicious either! The kitchen is truly fantastic and they really have their sh#t together! The food is fresh and hot, and comes out so fast, and is always cooked to perfection. Every time I think I have found my new favorite thing there, I try something else and have a new favorite. It’s all so good! I also really love that when you look over and see them cooking the food, while you can tell they are working so hard, they are always smiling and seem like they are enjoying each other and like they are really enjoying what they do. I really feel like that translates into the food.
Really, this is the best restaurant ever. I hope you’ll go...
Read moreI called in and someone named Kate answered my call. I asked for a pick up order for an Ole skillet with no onions and jalapeños with a side of avocado. I even repeated myself a few times because she seemed busy. We hung up and and I realized I didn't tell her how I wanted my eggs. So I called back multiple times until Kate picked the line up. I said hey I forgot to let you know how I wanted my eggs. And she said "for the omlet?" I said no I ordered a skillet. She then argues with me and tells me I'm wrong and then tells me to RELAX when i explained how I ordered it with her. I'm confused as to what's going on at this point. And then she told me to stop yelling at her??????? No one was yelling. Maybe it was a little loud because I was on my cars Bluetooth? So whatever. We finished the order and I came in and spoke with the manager and she said she would speak with her. But I get home with my order and my toast isn't toasted- fine I have a toaster. But no avocado, after I said it multiple times. I was charged for it, $4, so that sucks. But no sour cream or salsa. I understand being busy, but don't work a customer service job and be rude to your clients. You don't just tell people to relax when you're in customer service when the client didn't do...
Read moreElly's is a five star diner in Chicago and suburbs!! ALL of their locations are Good, but This is my favorite! The staff are kind and friendly, the food is excellent, and the menu choices are wide and varied. I have eaten here probably two dozen times, and Everything I've tried is good.. I've Never been disappointed. Among my favorites are the mushroom cheeseburger on rye, the fresh strawberry crepes with whipped cream, the eggs florentine, and the breakfast sandwich with Amy's chicken sausage and cheddar on rye (it normally is served with smoked applewood bacon and American cheese on fresh brioche, but they will gladly switch out any part of the sandwich for you)! Their Excellent meals are complemented by an Awesome bakery, and they serve up some of the best coconut macaroons and mini key lime pies I've ever had. I Love that they serve breakfast And the Whole menu until 3:00pm every day, and I just can't praise this place or thank them enough for what a good job they do! My kids are 13 and 10, and it is Their favorite breakfast and lunch place, too! The chocolate milk is home mixed with chocolate syrup and is the best...
