Waited fifteen to nearly twenty minutes for service until about 7:02pm on Sunday April 20th. LET'S SAY AT LEAST 17 MINUTES BEFORE I LEFT WITHOUT EVEN A WATER AT THE BAR TOP. Sat at the ninth seat at the bar. Had plenty of time to map out the flow of service. What tables were close enough to get served first. The issue was that the bartender made eye contact with me several times. Two tables arrived and were served before me. After ten minutes, I was able to make contact with the bar back and he finally said "hello, please wait for the bartender." That's when I started to let myself become impatient. I didn't say anything. I just waited. I waived, I made eye contact with the staff. I tried my best to make eye contact with the bartender but he made especially sure to look away whenever we briefly made eye contact. I had two other guests on both sides of me who had already gotten served on when I arrived. I was very disappointed in the bartender and barback especially when I'd had a five hour delayed flight. Twenty minutes without even a greeting. Just a "Don't look at me. I'm not the bartender."
I'm not white. I'm not black. I'm not even brown. I'm not Asian. So I'd like to know why I was never even greeted. I wasn't even greeted by the hostess. I fly through Chicago often and this is a common occurrence. Will make sure to...
Read moreI went here during my layover Monday morning (4/28/25). I sat down at the bar, ordered breakfast and a drink. Breakfast was good priced for O'Hare (3 pancakes and bacon for $13.50 I believe it was, and $11.50 for a beer on tap, which was a very big size for the price for O'Hare).
The part of this I want to highlight is the bartender Anna. She was very nice when I sat down, shortly after a guy came in, he was a little talkative, and a bit intoxicated, but was fully fine and functional nonetheless. She got him his drink, he drank it, and at that point was too intoxicated. Anna cut him off very nicely, and he was very annoyed by this (not rude though), but was very insistent he was fine and should be served.
Anna handled the difficult very well, and her patience was amazing considering how difficult he was being.
I was at the bar for about two hours and talked with Anna the whole time when she wasn't serving another customer. She was one of the kindest and sweetest people I've met.
I highly recommend this spot due to the tasty food and drinks, and especially the great service experience I...
Read moreI had a long layover at O’Hare so I decided to give this place a try. When I got there they were busy but there were still seats available. There was no “seat yourself” or “wait to be seated” signage so I just sat down. I waited about ten minutes and started to leave but I made eye contact with the employee behind the bar and he asked if I wanted a menu. I said “Yes” and started to walk up but he said “I will bring you one.” He was nice and obviously busy. I ordered but he had to come back and ask me my order again. My pepperoni pizza came without too much of a wait. The pizza was not my favorite as I don’t think I have seen that much grease on a pizza before. I had to dab the top of the pizza to make it edible. It was obviously not a fresh pizza. The other employee seemed a bit less friendly than the guy who assisted me. She would yell at the customers from behind the bar instead of going out. I even heard my waiter tell as customer that he does come to customers tables but his coworker won’t. Overall, not the best experience but with airport food I never have high...
