I love pastries... and as along as I have lived in the area, have walked around the area, I have never set foot into this little gem of a bakery. I needed to get a birthday cake for my nephew's birthday and I didn't want to go to the big box grocery store around my house. The hubby suggested that we go here to pick up a cake. So here was my dilemma, it's a Sunday, it's late afternoon... is it going to be open?! And to our surprise, it was... they are open from 6am until 10pm everyday. We walked in and they were STOCKED with all sorts of cakes for purchase! They had cookies, muffins, pastries, breads... OMG, I was in carb heaven! LOL! Read moreWhen I visited La Perla Tapatia Bakery, I was reminded of the times when my grandmother sent me to panaderias to bring back bolillos and conchas. The interior of the bakery has aisles filled with a variety of breads.
One thing that caught my attention was the display of bolillos piled in a glass box, just like I remember from my grandmother's local panaderia in Mexico. The bakery also offers a selection of coffee, jell-O, along with other tempting pastries, cakes, and breads that I didn't recognize. I believe they might be from different regions of Mexico, which makes me even more curious to try them.

The combination of cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and classic Mexican breads adds to the overall positive experience at La Perla Tapatia Bakery.
I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking to try something new and immerse themselves in flavors of a...
