So let me start by saying that this place is expensive ! And over priced . I have been to other pozolerias and this place cant compare . A medium plate of pozole is 11 dollars it comes with a pinch of shedded pork and in a another container they give you limes onios and radish. In a basket they give a piece of stale chicharron and 3 tostadas. So this is for 3 plates of pozole. The plates are pretty small the pozole itself is nothing special about it. The service was terrible i saw the waitress when she took my order and then when she brought the food thats it. I needed napkins water refills well after like 20 mins looking for her to come back so i could ask for my food to go i just went to pay and i left. So disappointed i was expecting more of this place so then this place got filled when i walked in it was empty and people started to stand around the back where we were seating they were all around walling and chatting behind you just uncomfortable . This just added to my aggravation. So i paid almost 50 dollars for 3 plates of pozole 1 jamaica and coke. I say that was expensive and it wasnt even great . Sorry i dont recommend this place the food was expensive and they have terrible service. I still tipped the waitress which maybe i shouldn't have. But i will never visit this...
Read moreThere are so many great things to say about this family owned restaurant. I have been eating here since shortly after it opened, and continue to do so today. Even though they have become quite popular (which is an awesome thing), their pozole recipe has remained consistent and just as delicious as when it first opened. The red pozole is by far my favorite - it is spicy and has amazing traditional flavors. The green pozole, however, is a very close second. Every time I have eaten there, they have been extremely attentive and have always met our needs. I continuously recommend this place to family and friends if they are looking for authentic pozole at a very reasonable prize. Do be aware that this is a small location with limited tables/seating. If you happen to show up at a very busy time, you will be waiting outside. It's always been worth...
Read moreFirst time eating at this place and I am blown away by the quality. Absolutely, without a shred of doubt, Pozoleria Iguala is my new favorite spot for Mexican food. The tacos de al pastor are the best I’ve ever had. You know how most places you go, the pork sorta tastes boiled and doesn’t have any char on it (that Maillard reaction for my food dorks out there)? Not here! The marinade was perfect, the cook was even better. Tacos de al pastor are yard stick by which I gage all taquerias, and in this case a pozoleria is king. We also had the sopes, which were incredible. I didn’t have the pozole this time, but our friend who recommended the place did order the pozole verde and he said it was the best he’s had. I’ll definitely be back and I’ll definitely be...
