Olivia's Taste — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I used to love this place till we ordered food to be delivered to our office. "Placek po wegiersku" people loved, NOT SO MUCH when it comes to "Kebab plate" or "nalesniki" (low on veggies, dry chicken, gummy cheese). but that's okay, everyone has a different taste and different way of cooking. I get it. I always ask for total at the time of placing order (i want to get money ready from all ppl prior delivery), and its always an issue every time (not by the cashier, or roughly adding up WITHOUT tax and delivery fee), also once food arrived and i received receipt... shocked! I have asked why they charge $10 for delivery then i was told i "can come and pick it up myself" a bit rude if i could i would not ask for delivery.... i do not have a problem paying people for their job but at least TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS how much they owe you for service ahead of time. i do not have time to go in between 10 people who placed an order for additional money etc... communication is key! ppl @ work said its their last order just because CS was rude. I hate leaving ratings less than 5 stars but really felt like people should know to get all info...

I was in the mood for some polish food and this place have good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The ambience is nice and the decor appropriate. Most of the patrons are ethnic Polish at the moment that I was there I was the only non Polish speaker, but that wasn't a problem at all.

Now let's talk about the food, shall we? I started with a mushroom soup that was right on point. Delicious! My main dish was meatballs with mushroom cream sauce and quite frankly I can't say the same as I did with the soup. The meatball were...Ok a little bit warm inside almost cold, but the mushroom sauce was the perfect match for them. That's been said, the food seems to be authentic and that's precisely what I was looking for.

The service was okay, not stellar neither bad. The waitress disappeared for prolonged time, but overall was fair. Another try?...

Wow what a tasty find today! I was coming back from work and definitely felt like some Polish food. Google suggested a few option but choosing Olivia Taste was a really great choice. I had Polish Flaczki soup and some kind of the main course which name I can never spell out (prenounced Devolay) 😅 Flaczki were out of this world spiced absolutely the way flaczki should be. Last May when I was in Poland I’ve ordered Flaczki at one of Magda Gessler restaurants and needed to return them - the one I had at Olivia Restaurant were the absolutely perfect example of how this Polish soup should taste!
