Before you order read this, this was such a bad experience. My mother went to Reuter's Bakery to place a cake order for her two grandsons' baptism. The cake was for the reception, which was in a banquet hall following the ceremony. On the day of the event, she received a phone call from family who were at the banquet hall asking where the cake was as it was not there. We were on our way to the banquet hall following the ceremony at church and we were quite shocked to receive this phone call, as the cake should have been delivered to the banquet hall at 1 PM. She immediately called Reuter's Bakery and asked if the cake was on its way. The employee stated the cake was sitting with basically no plan at the bakery, which was at least 45 minutes away from the banquet hall with traffic. We got the sense that if we had not called to check in about the cake then the cake would have likely never been delivered to the banquet hall on the day of the baptism. The owner delivered the cake to the banquet hall hours late and said he would refund the delivery charge... We had to push just to get it delivered when it did. Later on in the evening other attendees noted that one of the cake flavors was red velvet, which was a flavor that was not ordered. She had specifically requested vanilla and chocolate cake, and what received part vanilla and part red velvet. My mother had paid a lot of money for this cake and was very upset and disappointed that it was not only extremely late, but it was not what she asked for. The cake was delivered so late that the photographer we had for the baptism had already left for the day per his contract, so there were no professional pictures taken of the cake. When my mother attempted to speak with the owner, Richard, after the event to discuss the mistakes and talk about a refund, he refused to speak to her personally and left his employee Nancy to handle the issue. They would not attempt to remedy the issue of the wrong cake order. We are highly dissatisfied with the customer service from the owner and would not recommend this bakery to anybody who needs a cake for a special event. If we did not call we would not have had a cake. Read the other 1 star reviews. Not sure if someone bought the business, but it is not what it once was. Read moreMe and my family have been coming here for what feels like eons. Every year we get a cake for my birthday on dec 20th. Usually the cake is amazing and tastes fresh, however the last two years the butter cream frosting has had an almost chemical taste. I'm not sure if it's the taste of the coloring or what, but it is not good. I always get chocolate cake with strawberry filling and this year there was barely any filling and the cake barely tasted of chocolate. I can't speak for the items that are in the front display cases or the customer service, but the ordered cakes are really starting to lack in quality.
Edit: Almost a year later and It's time for me to get a birthday cake. My mom sent them a picture of the design that I want, which is a light blue cake with a rainbow colored mandala design piped on the top. Given that they have done extremely elaborate cakes before and have them on their websites I figured they would be able to handle a piping job. And their response was that they can't make it and that they only do screened pictures for the top which is a blatant lie given the pictures in other reviews and a piped owl cake I got a few years ago.

The customer service is not very good, I emailed for a birthday cake and didn’t hear back from them two weeks after an email was sent. I called and upon picking up the phone was immediately told to hold, this happened twice, the person who picked up the phone could not speak English very well so I couldn’t understand her and there is no way she would have been able to accurately take my order(this is probably why the orders are wrong consistently) The next woman I spoke to was taking my order and I asked about cake flavors and being a bakery they are actually very limited in what flavors they offer very basic like chocolate ,vanilla , marble, and red velvet,. This is not the bakery to come to for a custom or creative cake because they will not be able to do it, I sent a picture of a cake and was basically told they couldn’t do anything in the picture besides make an ombre with only 3 colors, This would be a totally different cake than what I wanted which is exactly what you will get when ordering from THEM. It will never be like the picture or what you tell them to do .I found another bakery that was able to do exactly what I wanted for a cheaper price as well. Id order from them only If it was a very basic cake that I was ordering....
