Sandy's Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

There only a few places that give me a WOW factor when I look at my food before I eat it. Sandy's is definitely one of those places. The Ćevapi is a staple that I typically bring home ready to cook. but once and a while I have them whip up a batch freshly cooked off the grill. This mixed with lepinja and kaymak really ties everything together for a perfect lunch or dinner.

I recently tried the Čvarci (pork cracklings) It practically melted in my mouth... They are very addictive though...But the thing that stole the show.... the MASSIVE Pleskavici off the grill is what I cant find anywhere else.

I am a big guy.... this burger makes me feel like taking a happy, mid afternoon nap after being in a pleasant food coma. :-)

This is just for customer service because they didn’t give me a chance to taste their food...been there 3 times in a month and every single time service was terrible...if you can go there point with a finger what you want give the money and don’t ask any questions you might be satisfied other way if you have even one question you are not welcome there...can’t believe how you can work in front,meet people and be rude to them...it’s not a big deal to me,here in Chicago is so many places where you can find serbian food...I was going there just because there I near me,but I will make 5 times more miles and be treated right than stop by here and get the worst customer service ever. I guess they got positive reviews from their family and friends..Food quality is not the same anymore but they’re increasing the prices every month , it gets worse and worse.. You will find the most overpriced food here , ridiculously overpriced.. $18 for 8 pieces of bajadera cake is unacceptable. When they were increasing the prices of this decent food in this small , poorly updated place with a bad smell inside, they didn’t think about people all they were thinking of is themselves making a profit without investing anything ( typical Serbian mentality). There is a lot better Serbian places around . Overpriced , unpleasant stuff , bad smell .They will be closing down this place if they don’t stop this.. I don’t recommend anyone to go there, just...
