I wanted to make my own cheese board but did not have time. I was looking for a local cheese shop in the neighborhood and stumbled upon WineStyles. I completely forgot to take a picture. However Emily and her staff are wonderful! We ordered a cheese board for a party, normally this isn’t something they do. We bought our own board from HomeGoods and brought it to her, came back the next day for pickup with a wonderful board. I think there were 3 different meats, and 4 different cheeses. Along with the crackers, jam and almonds. Everything on the board was super delicious and it was a hit at the party!! The whole thing was gone within 20 minutes haha. We had quite a few people ask where we purchased it. We definitely think Emily & team should look into offering this as a regular service or at least around the holidays, it would be super popular. I love the aesthetic at her place as well. We also purchased a few bottles of wine which we brought to party. Also a huge hit! As a local business owner myself, I am happy we found this place and happy to support. My husband and I will definitely be coming here to eat and drink soon. We were both pleased with the friendly service and the amazing cheese board! We absolutely...
Read moreI love Wine Styles! They are conveniently located in Norwood Park. (They were in Park Ridge previously but moved a couple years ago).
There is a great selection of wines, easily grouped in sections to find what you're looking for. I love the sparkling wines, the red blends, and the fruity whites. (Included photos of a few favorites I haven't opened yet.) They also have a variety of beers. In addition, they have some gourmet food items. I love the dill pickles and the dill green beans, and the breadsticks. There are some other items like cute wine bags, coasters, stemware, etc.
They have a wine club and a beer club which I plan to join soon. Membership includes discounts on products, monthly featured specials, tastings in their tasting rooms, etc. I recently learned that they are also doing virtual tasting parties via video currently! You buy the specified wine and there is a group video with an educational part too like the region's history. I'm on their email list so I will have to do it soon.
The owner is super nice and knowledgeable and will help you find everything you need. She has a great name, Emily. (Which is my...
Read moreMy husband and I visited Wine Styles on a Saturday early evening. I rarely give negative reviews but I think this is worthy of reviewing. We had a wonderful server who was friendly immediately when we walked in. The owner of this Wine Styles, however, was short and rude. She seemed bothered by us asking questions regarding the wine list and a new style of wine. This location was busy and we didn't take up much time but she didn't want anything to do with a couple who are well versed in wine and love the industry. Not to mention she took our menu before we finished ordering our wine. We were pretty disappointed because we appreciate wine and looked forward to venturing to...
