Love Bett & Bev's. I try to get there on Friday rib nights. I think in 2½ years of frequenting the place with my g/f I've tried about everything on the menu, but ribs, frip pie, and pulled pork sandwiches are my tops. My g/f gets turkey every time unless it's salmon night. They were training a new cashier recently and I was accidentally over charged on our meal. The usual cashier caught it and brought me the amount in cash I was over charged (it was like $4 and some change). I told him to add it to the tip jar after I'd already stuffed cash in the tip jar. Idk too many service industry folks that woulda made it right like that. The young guys working there are always very polite and courteous. Food is fast. The place is clean. Silverware, condiments, etc. are always stocked. My only "complaints" if you could even call em that is the rib night I didn't get there til after 7 and all that was left was ¼ rack (that just totally sucked all the wind outta my sails. I can only compare this feeling to my Hawks losing to Minnesota or Nebraska, it was that disappointing, I wept a little inside). This is a testament to them, the ribs are THAT good, missing out was on me being late. It couldn't have been my lady's fault being late or I'd had to have let her go. One night the root beer was out, again that's a pretty modest compared to complaints you read on other restaurants. I do wish they were open Saturdays. They'd get even more of my money if they were. I think they cater on Saturdays, so.. I get it....Their food is so good. I always refer my people to Bett & Bev's if I know they're going to be in the Jefferson area, or going through on 30. No joke, my Friday work schedule revolves around rib nights. I live 1½ hrs from Jefferson and generally work another hour in the wrong direction. I quit in time to get there by 5:30 on rib nights. 6 at the absolute latest! My lady knows how antsy I get the closer to 6 it is. The path we walk the dogs goes right by there and again when we go over the overpass. It smells great, I wish they made air fresheners that smelled like this joint. The guy running the show always thanks us for coming in even if he's slammed busy. It's a great place to eat, I can't say enough good things about it. This place is a vegetarian's nightmare....and I love it. I want this food served at my wedding. I want this food served at my...
Read moreToday my wife and I came to Jefferson to go to the casino. We were going to eat there but they did not have a good selection of food so we decided to look around Jefferson to find a local place to eat. We decided on bett & bev's BBQ. I was honestly a little skeptical when we pulled up and it was what looked liked like a run down old Pizza Hut. One we got inside you could tell that they were a small town local place that cared more about the food then the appearance. They had the saucy trio as a special today. It was 3 meats sauced up and on a bun I got it with a side of beans and a drink. My wife ordered the turkey sandwich with a side of frips and a drink. The food came out quickly and looked amazing. The saucy trio was excellent the BBQ sauce was a great homemade sauce and the baked beans tasted like they had gone through the smoker. My wife loved her turkey sandwich and said the turkey was juicy and flavorful. She loved the frips which are homemade fried potato chips. Over all it was a great little find in a small town. If I'm over this way again I...
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch on the way through Jefferson. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We got the pulled pork sandwiches and they were half again bigger than most places we have been and were delicious. We ordered cheddar cheese balls and got twice as much as most places for the same price. Very good. And we got a frip. Big potato chips covered with pulled pork, smoked baked beans, and slaw. Very good. And I thought the price was very reasonable. We ordered more than we could eat because the portions were more than we are used to for this price. I recommend Bett &...
