I come here for the made fresh root beer alone. The food is pretty good too! My only complaint would be the way the staff dressed and conducted themselves, during my last visit. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand wanting to be comfortable, but at least some professionalism should be upheld. The outfits the employees were wearing were very unprofessional, even for a fast food joint. One of them was in baggy sweatpants, another in a tank top and fairly short exercise shorts. The way my mom, husband, and I were treated was also unacceptable. We came in about twenty minutes before closing. We just needed a quick bite to eat. Upon ordering, the lady at the register told us "We close in fifteen minutes, so you need to sit on that side of the restaurant because she is sweeping the other side." We had no problem sitting on that side. However, her tone of voice was not polite and there was no please to it. We brushed it off, grabbed out drinks, then went to find a seat. After chatting with my mom and husband, we decided we would just take our food to go as we didn't feel welcome. I went to the counter to let them know we would just take our food to go, but the employees were too busy talking amongst themselves and playing on their phones to notice me. I went and sat back down at the table. It took them about ten minutes to get our food ready and bring it to us. We ate quickly, then disposed our trash. (We were done and out by 9:15PM) As we walked out, the employees did not say a word to us. Not so much as a "thank you" or "have a good night". As someone who has worked in the customer service business for 10+ years, I understand that dealing with the public can be a grueling and exhausting task, but you still need to uphold standards and be respectful. Is it frustrating when someone comes in right before close? Yes, but I was taught that you never rush a customer, whether they come in five hours before close or five minutes before closing. The whole experience was very off-putting. The food was good, but the employees could use some...
Read moreThe food was the normal A&W quality. What really struck me was the staff. The young man who took my order was very polite and patient as I allowed my children to place their orders themselves. Then we went back to get ice cream, the kids got free ice creams, there was a little confusion on my part on weather or not I had paid for the right amount of ice cream. The young man did his best to try and explain. I wasn't understanding. It was getting busy, and I could see he was starting to get discouraged. The manager came over, placed a hand on his shoulder, and said, "You are right. I'll take it from here." Then she placed herself between me and the worker and asked me my order and then told me it was taken care of and made sure I had everything to my understanding. She then turned to him while getting my cones and said, "You did a good job." When she handed me my cone, I said,'You are right. He did a great job. He was polite and trying his best. I'm sorry I didn't understand. Thank you for stepping in to help." She said."You're right he did good. Earlier, a man came in and just kept yelling at him. He does not deserve that. No one does. I make sure things stay respectful. "
To me, a safe work environment means better service, and that means mentally safe, not...
Read moreSimply the best in our area for original A&W RootBeer Served in the classic Frosted Mugs(the way it tastes best, and the only way it should be.), and original foods like coney's and chili cheese fries, pizza burgers, etc...8/22/2019, finally had the chance to visit the new location today, very disappointed by the rootbeer... was flat, the fries were horrible, and when asked for cups(2-3 times)for our icecream, we were given uncovered dishes instead. Also they made sure I was informed that their's was a smoke-free property and I was required to extinguish my cigarette. At which I replied, I'll do so as a courtesy and put out my cigarette but that I wasn't smoking on their property as my vehicle, in accordance with law, wasn't their property but mine so technically my vehicle might be on their property, no part of my body was on their property. I also pointed our they need to post a big sign stating their smoke free policy. I won't be back as the food was totally...
