The food here is a balance of American favorites and unique specialty items that are based on recipes from the Cancun area of Mexico. Some Mexican restaurants tend to be meat-heavy, but Pueblo Real offers a good blend of vegetables throughout the menu. They also feature several pineapple dishes, an entree with cactus, and several dishes for two. The chips are almost always warm and crisp and the salsa is tasty, without too much spice. Even the handmade guacamole appetizer is pretty mild, but can be spiced up for those who like hotter fare.
Some of the menu items are lunch-only, while others are on both lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant opened to great fanfare and has maintained a steady flow of customers such that there are times even on a weeknight that you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. It's worth it. Many local patrons like the adult beverage selections. The staff is always smiling and you can tell they work well together. Several TVs over the bar make provide a variety of entertainment. The place is also good for local meetings...

Read moreWe are from the SouthWest and this is what Mexican food is suppose to taste like. I've been to Mexico many times and even the inside of the building with the textured walls, colors, large wooden chairs reminds of my travels south of the boarder. And the food is amazing. My wife is Hispanic and this is the only restaurant in North East that she has found that feels like home. We can't say enough good about this place. We eat there when ever we are looking for a treat. It is a bit of a drive for us but always worth it. Oh and a real interesting thing that we have not seen before is that with your chips and salsa you get a little bowl of coleslaw. I thought it was odd at first but now I look forward to it. The menu is massive and has so much variety. My favorites are Porta Viarta, AP Espescial, and Degollado Especial. The staff are great and always attentive. If you like Mexican food you will love Pueblo. Our favorite place...
