Nestled in the heart of Jefferson, Oregon, Tommy’s is not just a bar; it’s a warm embrace in the form of a local watering hole. This diamond in the rough shines brightly, thanks to its stellar staff and mouth-watering cuisine.
Karen, the maestro of mixology, is the heartbeat of Tommy’s. She’s not just a bartender; she’s a memory-maker, a day-brightener, and a friend to all who walk through the doors. With a knack for remembering names and stories, Karen ensures that your glass is never empty and your spirits never low. Her efficiency is the stuff of legend—no matter how busy the bar gets, she’s there with a refill and a smile, making every patron feel like the guest of honor.
In the kitchen, Juan works his culinary magic, crafting dishes that could easily grace the tables of the finest establishments. His talent is a well-kept secret, making him one of the most undervalued chefs in the state. Each plate that leaves his kitchen is a testament to his skill, passion, and dedication to flavor. It’s high time the world knew about the gastronomic genius that is Juan. I highly recommend Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday.
Together, Karen and Juan create an experience that’s more than just a meal or a drink—it’s a celebration of community, a testament to the town of Jefferson, and a reminder that sometimes, the best treasures are hidden where you least expect them.
Tommy’s isn’t just a bar; it’s a home away from home, and it’s all thanks to the people who pour their hearts into every pour and every plate. Cheers to Tommy’s, Karen, and Juan—the true jewels...
Read moreI’ve never felt compelled to leave a bad review on a place until now. My friends and I had been wanting to check out Tommy’s for a while, because even though we don’t drink we were excited for the events they hold (trivia, bingo, etc.). Now I just moved to Oregon and got my Oregon drivers license last week, so it’s the temporary paper copy until the plastic one arrives in the mail. When I presented my ID, they said they only accept the plastic copies. No big deal, I’m a servicemember so I figured my military ID would work. But, they refused to accept that too. So here I am, with TWO forms of legal ID and still being denied service. I watched people enter and not even get asked for IDs, yet I get kicked out (and I even had my state government ID, my passport, AND my birth certificate in my car, but I didn’t even want to try to stay after being denied service with my military ID).
We were so very excited to make this our new weekly hangout spot since my friends live 1 minute away instead of Front Street bar in Albany, but I think we will just stick to front street (who would never treat their service-member/veteran customers...
Read moreWhile at Tommy’s watching the Super Bowl the bartender showed lack of cleanliness by going outside and having a smoke then coming back into the bar and serving customers without washing her hands. She touched alcohol bottles and money then served a friend and I our drinks. The experience began to be more poor due to the bartender having racial remarks. During the halftime show of Kendrick Lamar’s music, she instantly began to say change it and bring it back to when Eminem sang the half time show. She followed up saying Kendrick should get clippers to cut off the tips of his ears because they were pointy.
The drinks were okay I mean they came from the keg and she didn’t make us any creative drinks. But the mini nachos were very unseasoned...
