Overall 1/5. Would NOT recommend until issues are fixed and our experience rectified. (Almost a lawsuit).
Okay, let's start with the good and then move to the bad.
The good, overall the atmosphere, was nice, good views from uptop, open seating so you choose your table (first come, first serve). There was live music at one point, too. Some people at my table claimed the food was decent/good. Prices for beer during happyhour are pretty good.
Now, the bad bad bad.
First. The tables are not sprayed and wiped. Just wiped. So every other persons spillage is smeared all over the table, making them really quite gross.
Second. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Now, I don't think this was an issue on our servers part, but more the restaurant not having enough severs for that section.
Third. Drinks took too long to get to the table, and the server had to carry them 2 at a time. Not once did I see a serving tray in use. Not good of a look, and your hand are warming the bear and drinks as you carry them.
Fourth and finally. As shown in the picture below, I ordered a burger with just bacon and cheese. When I was served, the burger had lettuce and, more importantly, tomato. I was more than abundantly clear about what was to be on the burger. It's not a big deal. It happens, and you can fix it quite easily. However, when the server came back, I politely asked for it to be fixed by being sent back to the kitchen (for replacement). The server argued back, suggesting I should just take it off the burger. That's a big no-no for two reasons. One, I'm allergic to tomato (which I rebuttaled with). Two, you dont argue with the customer ever. Great, so she takes it back. Less than 2 minutes later, it comes back the same burger without the lettuce or tomato. The burger is the same temperature (cold) as well as the fries are also cold too. I want to give benefit of the doubt so I get a family member to take a bite. They immediately taste both lettuce and tomato residues.
So now we have a HUGE issue. Not only did you not remake the burger, but your slow service left it cold as well as put ME in DANGER.
That is UNACCEPTABLE, and if I had eaten a bite of that burger and had symptoms act up, I would have a lawsuit against the restaurant. This cannot happen and the burger should have been compd. The staff seem nice but there's issues that cannot be ignored and are a glaring stain on...
Read moreReserved a table for 8 days ahead and they didn't know anything about that while they even called the day before to confirm. They squeezed us in anyway. I would say it was 80% occupied when we got there. I ordered a Heineken and a Pina Colada for my wife. It took them 30 minutes, (not kidding) to get my beer. We never got the Pina even though we mentioned it to the waitress, another waitress and manager on duty. None of them where able to bring us a Pina Colada. Meanwhile I finished my beer and went up to the bar to get a other one since our waitress was nowhere to be found. The bartender asked if I was at a table and if so, if I couldn't order it with the waitress. I said that I didn't even know my waitress since she only stopped by once. He clearly wasn't happy but gave me the beers anyway and I tipped and paid. The food came out in 2 sessions with a good 20 minutes in between. So when I got my food, half of the table already ate. Food was mediocre to bad. Fried fish was almost burned, mahi was dry. Steak was tender but flavorless. This all after we had to get our own silverware. We didn't want to make a big deal since we are restaurant owners ourselves. We just wanted the bill. (Even that took forever ok). Ofcourse they charged us for the Pina Colada that we NEVER got although they did say they would take it off the bill. When we confronted the manager she was close to giving us attitude for their bad service. She never came back with the revised bill and let a waitress bring it over. I think she got really embarrassed with all the bad stuff that was going on. This was my worst restaurant experience EVER. And I am really patient as I am in the business myself. What a shame. No drinks, no silverwat, bad food, terrible service and some attitude. Just what the owners want to hear right? Nothing comped either except for the Pina Colada we never got ..... Never ever will go back. They didn't even care and looked like they blame the customer for their faults. Not sure why we would even rate them 1star since there's no option...
Read moreToday I visited Mulligans and waited patiently to be approached by a server after being seated at a booth. The server came after 15 min and actually told us that she wasn't our server, but she will take our drink order, because it was our server first day at work. When we saw the service this slow, we took initiative to move to the bar. Then, at the bar, after getting our drinks, I noticed that the glass was dirty and the wine extremely warm. A restaurant should serve drinks in clean glassware at the proper temperature. So, I requested to be changed. We have been at this place multiple times, so I knew the bartender. She acknowledged me, but never came back to change my wine. She started a conversation with othe customers. Then I saw a different bartender approached a new customer who sat next to me, I said "excuse me, I apologize to bother you, but could you change my wine ?" And explained why. She gave me a look like I was annoying her. And the customer got mad because I interrupted him, even though I said, excuse me. The issues I encountered tonight were a result of the restaurant's poor service, lack of attentiveness and most of all customer service. It's unfortunate that the other customer and the bartender reacted the way they did, especially since I was simply trying to get the service I was owed. I can't control how other people act, but I can control how I react. In this situation, I chose to walk away, which was a perfectly reasonable response to the disrespect and lack of service I was receiving. It's better to leave than to continue a frustrating encounter. This is a place not suitable to accommodate locals. I should have listened to those that warned us not to come here as locals. I did my best to be polite and respectful, and I was met with a series of frustrating situations....
