I am a fair customer. I want my cold food cold and my hot food hot and I would like it at a reasonable time. I do however, understand that with certain things it may take a bit longer to cook than others. That being said I have to this place a few times and had held back to posting my review to make sure I was accurate as I thought that maybe they were just having an off day or something. Any who, today I went and there were 2 other family's there when we arrived. It took about 10 mins to get our drinks, another 10 minutes after that to place our order (as the girl dropped off our drinks and took off- we did not ask for more time, we were ready to order) then over an hour to get our food. When our food arrived my food was cold, eggs over cooked and the only thing warm was the sour cream- yuk! When I asked what was taking my food so long the girl didn't know what to say and even though the manager/owner was standing right there she just acted as if nothing was wrong. Yeah I know. I didn't even finish my food and we left. Well while I was paying another table that had walked in also was on their way out as there was a DEAD FLY FLOATING AROUND IN THE HORCHATA!!!! Then as if that wasn't enough they actually tried charging her for the drink!!! Needless to say the people were very upset, didn't wait for their food as they apparently had already been waiting 20 mins approx. to get their drinks and walked out. I will NEVER go here again!! I have been here a few times and they do not care about customer service, cleanliness, speediness or food quality. I am Salvadorean so I know Salvadorean/ Latin food but this place is done. Don't go here- I think most of the reviews must be either from the owners, family members of the owners and friends of the owners trying to make them look good. I am officially...
Read moreThe prices are very reasonable but the wait time is crazy long. I placed my order over the phone and I was told to pick up in 45 minutes. When I arrived 45 minutes later, I was told to wait another 25 minutes. When I finally got my order, the pupusas were hard to distinguish from one another. They all get put on top of each other in the same container. I tried a bean and cheese pupusa which was delicious. The pork and cheese one (i think it was) was also very delicious. The fajita and cheese tasted disgusting. They added a weird ingredient to it maybe by accident. It tasted like perfume and flower herbs mixed in the cheese. I won't get that one again. The green salsa was delicious as well. And the melon agua was the best. Overall, the food was very good and worth the wait but waiting over an hour was ridiculous without a heads up during the ordering process. The dining area itself looked really clean but the only weird thing i saw while inside waiting was that their ServSafe Certification has someone's name taped over the original certificate. Thats gross if they did not update or have anyone working that is certified in basic...
Read moreLove this hole in the wall restaurant.
I have walked past this place so many times before & didn't know it was a restaurant.
I'm a Mexican from Eas Los, California and really enjoyed the Salvadorian food here.
I ordered the combination plate that consisted of 1 Chicken Enchilada with red sauce, 1 chicken flauta, & 1 beef fajita taco served with rice & refried black beans.
They don't skimp on the fillings like most restaurants do these days. They serve you plenty of food. My plate cost $8.99.
Well worth it..
Every table was taken when I entered the taqueria. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for an available table.
You order your food at the counter. They serve you at your table & pay after you have eaten.
They also have a good sized bakery selection that is reasonably priced.
I highly recommend...
