Seeing the reviews I expected a different experience and I hesitated to write my review because I don’t like to write bad reviews but I hope my constructive criticism will be received and allow this establishment to do better and still recommend anyone to give it a try as seemingly others have different reviews than mine:

My experience was completely unsatisfactory from the food to the service of the team in-restaurant: I ordered over the phone. Upon pickup of my order, I didn’t try it immediately and decided to wait until I reached my destination which was about 10 minutes away. Rice and peas were undercooked and HARD. 0/10 Cabbage 0/10 flavorless Jerk Chicken 4/10 could’ve taste more jerk, very light seasoning Plantain 8/10 Service 5/10 — the cook did not want to atleast replace my rice after informing them it was uneatable and the cashier agreed that it was his decision and they would not be doing anything about the issue. After a while, the cashier provided the manager’s direct number who did inform them to remake my order but of course I had to go back into the establishment after leaving and wait for my order to be remade in which the food still wasn’t good, it seemed like the cook literally just added water to the rice and warmed it up because it was soft and mushy. So overall, I will not be returning but hope that moving forward the restaurant staff are able to better address customer concerns and provide atleast...

Another excellent meal at the new location, as wonderful as I've come to expect from this brand. Go there soon and try it out.

I had the mixed plate with curry chicken and the oxtail. It came with rice, seasoned cabbage, and fried plantains. A little bit of heaven. Mmmmmm. I always love these dishes and they were as delicious as ever. The cabbage is so refreshing that I might get less rice and more cabbage next time.

My associate had the jerk chicken, also heavenly. Prefect jerk sauce. Same comment about more cabbage next time.

Despite our best intentions to moderate our intake and save some for leftovers, there was nothing left to take home when we were done. It was too good. (Slight belch.)

I would have gotten the goat, as that is my favorite, but alas the lunch crowd ate it all and I'll have to try again another time.

Service was perfect, as expected. Nice people, friendly.

The new location, just north of the West Beltway toll-road on Veterans Memorial, is bigger and a little more mainstream than the original restaurant, and some may find this one more to their liking. They opened it in March, but had to shut down for the Covid crisis. They are back open now, and in full swing.

I wish they would open a third restaurant in Humble, as either of the Caribbean Hot Pot locations is quite a drive for me, but then I'll gladly make the trip for food this good.

I'm summary, another thrilling meal, this time at the...

I came here once before. Spent quite a bit of money and left a generous tip. The lady was nice and the food was so so .Nothing that really stood out . The drinks are what I actually came back for. I arrived with my daughter and a friend we hadn't seen in a while. Thinking since BELLA was the one who waited on us last time was there on this day .....we would get decent service and drinks . She brought us menus .No one was at the tables .....only two guys were in the restaurant standing waiting on to go . BELLA NEVER ASKED US WHAT WE WANTED TO DRINK . SHE DROPPED OFF MENUES AND WALKED OFF. Thirty whole minutes went by while we were talking before we realized we were being ignored on purpose. Bella never came back . We saw her just standing around by the register. ....at times doing other things .....but she had no intention on waiting on us . We decided to just leave and take our business else where . She didn't even acknowledge us leaving like our business wasn't wanted. Whoever the owner is .....I hope you see this. Business in your restaurant isn't at an all time high I'm sure. With people like BELLA there ....I don't see how you have any at all . We went to a really nice restaurant in the woodlands .....where we are from . We spent our money in a place that appreciated...

My husband I wanted to eat rotis today, but the Trinidadian lady who normally prepares them was resting today so we took a chicken stew and a jerk chicken. The stew was absolutely de-li-cious and so tender, waohhh! I loved the jerk, it was definitively hot and the chicken ess flavorful! Great experience! The atmosphere of the place is ok. Colors inside are warm and welcoming, probably even more when the room is full. In effect, there was just a handfull of people, I guess the reason was due to the heavy rain outside and it was just before end of the mass. It looked a bit empty , but sincerely the staff was lovely, and it was nice to listen to Bob Marley (whose face is painted on a wall of the unique room). There are many tables with comfy seats, but if one prefers, there is also a big bar in the corner. They have cocktails and other things non alcoholic. Like in many other places in the US, food is served in 1 way packaging/styrofoam clamshell with 1 plastic fork and paper napkins. Water bottles are in plastic and to be bought at the cashier. Let us hope one day we will all become planet friendly to ensure our kids and all living creatures a (better) future. I recommend this place, the tasty food, the welcoming, and its prices. There is plenty of parking outside.

I will never patronize this restaurant again, I ordered a large curry goat, small stew chicken and a side of plantain. I frequented the location on 1960 many, many times and visited the Veterans location 3 times, always ordering the same. The first time I visited the Veterans location, the curry goat was full of meat, a very nice portion for the price, the 2nd time the curry was full of fat and bones to the point of us calling the owner and him replacing the meal with a small curry goat begrudgingly. Deciding to give them another try today, I tell them I don't want a plate full of bones and fat and that's exactly what I got. The stew chicken and peas and rice are dry, the plantain is dry, over cooked, taste like potatoes, not sweet at all. Theyve lost my families business.
