Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I will never eat here again.

I pull up and I go to the drive because I wanted some fries and mac & cheese and a drink that's all that I wanted very simple request fries mac & cheese drink buffalo sauce it's not that hard. So I pull up to the drive-through and roll the window down and I'm waiting for them to take my order and they never spoke to me through the drive-through. Not a “just one moment” like “one second” “hold on” like none of it. I wait there for like five minutes with no response so I was like “excuse me hello” and still no response so I’m like I'm gonna pull around so I pull around park and go inside. I'm waiting to take my order, I was the only person in line and there was one girl like waiting for her food. The three employees, who were all grown adults like 30+ were behind the front rack were all the chicken is held. They were standing behind there in the kitchen just yapping literally just yapping in the kitchen. I didn't say excuse me but I was standing there clearly early to order. After like 7 min one of them saw me and then came over. Started taking my order I'm like can I get fries small mac & cheese and a medium drink and they're like yeah and I'm like can I have buffalo sauce and they go “oh we're out of buffalo sauce right now we have ranch in this and this.” I should've been like I'm good and left, but I didn't. I was like it's fine I’ll do ranch whatever. He gives me my drink cup and then I go to fill up my drink with diet Dr Pepper and it comes out straight soda water no syrup and I was like BRUH so I dumped out the soda water and I fill up with Diet Coke and the Diet Coke worked so whatever. I have my drink and I'm now waiting for so long for just some fries and mac & cheese, I drink the entire medium drink while sitting there and waiting. I fill my drink back up, then they give me my food, then I check the food, and then I go to my car. The fries were hot like fresh out the grease hot but I don't know if they left in the fryer too long bc they were yapping and they were like burnt or they just need to change the oil but like it tasted like dog poop I couldn’t even eat them. The Mac n cheese was cold and hard. I was about to go inside like give my money back bc this food sucks but I didn't do that. I didn't feel like causing scene.

The manager, Claudia & cooks at this location are a complete joke. I ordered through Uber Eats and was given scraps of wings & chicken tenders along side cold mashed potatoes. I called and spoke with the manger and she told me she would refund me. I have the conversation recorded. I will be speaking to corporate. She said they don’t have the money in the store. I don’t even know what that means. I paid with card and the other manager Emma said I could tap my card so she could issue the refund. Claudia was getting loud with me and saying to call my bank. Ma’am that’s ridiculous. I want my money back. I didn’t even eat whatever that was that y’all were trying to serve me. I work in healthcare, night shift and wanted something to eat because I hadn’t eaten at all that day because we were so busy. I went to this restaurant for my wife and bought a ten dollar meal. Three pieces of chicken and a large red beans and rice, when my wife got a scoop of the red beans she smelled an odor coming from the cup, the beans were spoiled. I bagged up the food and returned to the restaurant for a refund and was denied. The coward of a manager left the counter and would only speak in Spanish to the young lady at the counter and accused me of eating half the food and trying to get a refund on that ten bucks which is extremely insulting.
