Our recent visit to Las Brisas, a local Mexican restaurant, was an absolute delight for our family of 10, even on a busy Saturday night. Despite the bustling atmosphere and high demand, Las Brisas went above and beyond to accommodate our group without compromising on the quality of service or the overall dining experience.
The staff at Las Brisas demonstrated remarkable efficiency and professionalism. Despite the restaurant being packed, they managed to find us a suitable table without any delay, ensuring that we were comfortably seated together. Throughout the evening, our server attended to our needs promptly, despite the evident busyness of the restaurant. Their ability to handle the crowd while still providing attentive and friendly service was truly impressive.
Moreover, the kitchen staff at Las Brisas deserves recognition for their dedication and skill. Despite the restaurant being filled to capacity, our food arrived in a timely manner, freshly prepared and bursting with flavors. Read moreTook my son here for his 21st birthday. It was a Friday night around 6 pm. We had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was worth it! The menu has small pictures of each item. Great for people like me who don't know the difference between a burrito and a taco! The service was fast, and we got our food quickly, despite the restaurant being packed. The plates were huge. I took half my plate home. Even my son was unable to finish his plate! The food was excellent! My son didn't like the original salsa they brought out with the chips (Too mild!). He asked a waiter if they had anything hotter, and he quickly received a second bowl of salsa, which he liked very much. Highly recommend this restaurant, but be prepared to wait a while for a table. Update: 6 days later, my wife & I ate a late supper here. No wait for a table, same great food & service, and she really enjoyed the food! 2 years later (3/2021): Still great...
Read moreLas Brisas is like finding an oasis in the desert. After being disappointed by many 'authentic' restaurants around St. Louis county, a friend suggested this place as the real deal.
Though it's a bit far afield, it's not too far of a hike, and was only about 15 minutes away. The building looks a bit rough from the outside, but the inside is pretty classic Mexican restaurant. They have a patio for outdoor eating which is excellent this time of year.
The restaurant was absolutely packed when we arrived, but we were still served and received our food quickly. The food could use a bit more heat but was flavorful and delicious. The carnitas were well crisped and the carne asada was juicy and savory. The horchata was also well spiced and fantastic, not too watered down at all.
We are looking forward to another visit and trying more of what this eatery...
