Hana Asian Fusion, Sushi & Bar — Restaurant in Johnson City

First time here and being honest in my meal tonight. First let me say, the food was AWESOME! The little lady that took outer order seemed nice, but that's all the good I have. Some things are confusing, First we were seated. After being seated another girl came and took our drink order, she then asked if we wanted soup and salad while we looked at the menu. Water came, soup and salad never did, this could be our fault for not knowing. The the woman who seated us came over and took our order. We ordered a lot of food, and what my wife ordered for her meal, came out first as she got 2 appetizers, maybe also our fault for not specifying her meal. We also were asked about soup and salad again, and I said I thought we had ordered it, but the other girl just had a look of we were crazy on her face, once again, could chalk that up to our fault not knowing and being our First time there. I had a curry, pork dumpling soup, and we also ordered a sushi roll. My wifes tuna tamaki and Korean hotdogs came out first after our salads. Then came the baked sushi roll, then my soup, and finally my curry after everything else was cleared. I also had no water while the one girl who brought drinks to the table came by and bussed the table next to us, then another couple sat down and they ordered. Finally I had to ask for a refill, because she made us feel invisible I guess. After I finished my food, our table was cleared and we sat for what felt like 20 minutes waiting on our check. My wife was turned around looking and the girl finally asked if we needed anything, and I said check. We paid and left. The service would be 0 or negative stars if it were possible, but the food was 5 stars all day. Sadly, I dont k ow if I can get over the service to give it another try, as it wasnt super busy from my eyes. Don’t even know how to start this off! Hana has amazing food, service and owner! We were invited to eat before opening which is coming soon to the mass public! We started off with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing that came with our bento boxes. The miso was amazing tasting, perfectly spot on. The ginger dressing had a perfect zing and was so refreshing! My bento box I got the veggie rolls, orange chicken, fried rice and a spring roll. It all was perfect, I absolutely love their spring rolls! My partner got a bento boxes with teriyaki chicken, fried rice, spring roll, and California roll he said it was all amazing. We also got the Earth Roll which tasted wonderful would definitely get again! Everything was beautifully presented, tasted amazing, and smelt amazing! The entire restaurant was super clean including the bathrooms which were luxurious looking! This place will definitely make a great date night, but also great for casual and family outings. 10/10 everything! I am cross posting...

I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I ordered from Hana today June 6th, around 6pm and found not only bugs but also strands of hair in our food. This is a serious health and sanitation issue that should never happen in any food establishment.

I immediately contacted both the restaurant and the third-party online service I ordered through, Menufy, which their site operates through, providing photos and asking for a refund. We did not eat the food and my entire family lost their appetite and felt uncomfortable. Despite clear evidence, both refused to take accountability.

I’m incredibly disappointed.. not just by the contamination itself, but by the lack of responsibility and basic food safety standards. I will not be ordering from here again, and I recommend others proceed...
