Unfortunately, our experience was terrible and, sadly, we don’t plan to go back and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Just go to the Asian options in the food court - they’re cheaper, faster, and tastier. Here’s why… My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time this evening. We were really excited to find an Asian restaurant with a wide variety of options and decent prices. However, our experience only went from bad to worse. We arrived at 5:15pm on Wednesday evening. Upon entering the restaurant, the place had a distinct odor that was not pleasant, smelling like bad breath. We proceeded anyway, but after standing just inside the entrance no one greeted us. There were no signs directing us to seat ourselves so we waited and looked at to-go menus next to the door. Eventually, the hostess directed us to take a seat and brought us menus. At this point, we shared that this was our first time there and were getting familiar with the menu. The hostess (who I understand is the owner) did not seem to care that we were new customers and didn’t thank us or give any recommendations. Still, no problem but just not good marketing. After telling her we were just going to order to-go, she left to give us time to look over the menu. Unfortunately, she didn’t return for probably 10-12 minutes, which was too long. Usually, a waitress will check back in and if you need more time they will come back after another couple minutes; that wasn’t the case here though so our wait was longer. When she finally did return to take the order, she wasn’t very pleasant and seemed a bit short and rude with us asking questions about the menu as new customers. Finally, we placed our order around 5:25. I do have to say here, that she was at least helpful in letting us know which foods wouldn’t work with a particular food allergy. From that point, we didn’t receive our food until 6:05, 40 minutes later. The crazy thing was that there were only two other couples in the restaurant when we arrived and they were already served and eating. Nobody else entered for at least 20 minutes, and yet our food was delayed far too long. The hostess did offer a water while we waited, which was thoughtful, but we didn’t realize we would have to wait 40 minutes for a to-go order. By 5:50 we were ready just to leave and go to food court or to Chipotle, but we didn’t want to miss out on potentially a new favorite restaurant despite a poor first impression. So we stuck it out just to try the food. At last the food came…and we were honestly just so disappointed. We got sweet and sour tofu and drunken noodles. The drunken noodles came as a decent portion, but were lacking a bit of flavor. Nothing special and I wouldn’t order it again. As for the sweet and sour, not only did they fill more than half of the to-go box with rice instead of the entree, but the sauce was sooooo bland. The sauce just tasted watered down and lacked any flavor or savoriness whatsoever. I tried to use the watered down soy sauce packets to help but it honestly wasn’t worth eating. No napkins were packed in the bag either, which didn’t help. All in all, we wasted an hour in the restaurant for portions that were decent but food that was terrible. Even if the food had been on time and everything else was positive, the food just was so bland. We ended up going to Chipotle just to have something edible and enjoyable to end the day with. Sadly, there was a lot to like about the menu for us, but after trying the food and experiencing the poor service, we won’t be going back. Anybody considering the restaurant, we recommend just going to the Asian options in the food court. It’s cheaper, faster,...
Read moreAlong with me my three generations of family have made a conscious choice to abstain from consuming any form of animal products throughout our entire life. This decision has been a fundamental part of my identity and personal values. Consequently, I have always been extra cautious while dining out to ensure my meals align with my dietary preferences.
During my recent visit, I ordered your vegan ramen with the expectation of indulging in a delicious and truly plant-based dish. To my dismay, as I was enjoying my meal, I discovered halved eggs hidden among the ingredients. This discovery left me in a state of shock and disappointment, as it shattered my trust in the vegan integrity of the dish I had specifically ordered.
It's difficult to express the depth of my emotions at that moment. My heart ached, and my body trembled as I confronted a lifelong fear and concern in the form of a seemingly innocent meal. For someone who has never consumed eggs, meat, or fish, encountering such an unexpected ingredient was, without a doubt, the worst nightmare of my life.
Please understand that my intention in sharing this feedback is not to be rude or condemnatory. Rather, I seek to raise awareness about the impact that such incidents can have on individuals with dietary restrictions or specific beliefs, such as myself. My trust in the integrity of your establishment has been shaken, and I urge you to consider this incident as an opportunity to reassess your kitchen practices.
As a vegetarian, I often face challenges in finding restaurants that cater to my dietary needs and provide genuine vegan options. Therefore, it is crucial that establishments like yours, which promote vegan cuisine, take the utmost care to ensure the accuracy and transparency of their menu offerings. I kindly request that you take my experience into serious consideration and examine your processes to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. I believe that by addressing this issue and striving for greater attention to detail, your restaurant can continue to serve as a trusted and inclusive destination for diners with varying dietary preferences.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I sincerely hope that my feedback is received in the spirit of constructive criticism and that it contributes to the improvement of your establishment's offerings. I hope forward for the day when vegan people can confidently visit your restaurant and enjoy a genuinely vegan meal that aligns with...
Read moreEDIT: Worst sushi/ramen experience ever. Ordered a $20 bowl of ramen and everything was overcooked. Lured in by special offering and the food still managed to be overpriced and not very good. Sushi rice was super dry. Bubble/boba tea tasted watered down and the boba was not the proper or consistent texture. Servings were small compared to other restaurants in the area. Served dirty dishes. No napkins. Asked to remove the ramen because it was almost completely untouched and upset my wife’s stomach. Was given a modest “discount” yet still charged almost $16. Definitely don’t recommend. Avoid if possible. It appears we were actually serviced by the owner herself. My wife updated me that she was actually being rude when we were placing our order. The server was nice and sweet, but didn't actually attend to us other than bringing my kids' water cups and the initial bill. After sharing my thoughts on Google she attacked me, as she has done to all of the negative reviews. She claimed they sold out but was not considerate we felt one primary dish was bad. She tried to shame me and make me feel bad for her poor customer service / experience. She accused me of leaving a mess, when I actually cleaned up with the dishes and a drink lid because we were not provided napkins, so I scooped the sushi rice from the roll that literally fell apart onto a plate. She put their expenses (claiming the ingredients cost ($X for this & that) above the customer experience. 20+/-Good reviews and 20+/- Bad reviews on Google. Another magical 300 reviews counted as 5, but no comment whatsoever in just over a year of business. The last restaurant she worked at has been in JC for 10+ years and has less than 200 good reviews, all with actual comments. She clearly paid for fake 5-star reviews. This woman is a sham and blatant liar. Avoid this restaurant unless you enjoy bad food and service. Just look at her...
