Hi yall,
I don’t usually leave reviews but it’s about time I do it for this California taco. I’ve been to many California tacos but this one is close to me so I chose to go to this one. For a while it was okay , dry service. But I was a loyal customer 2-3 a week, and I still was treated very rudely.
I am Hispanic too and I couldn’t understand her accent once over the phone. When I went in she was like but you said this but I’m like no I didn’t you asked me two questions and I didn’t want to be rude so I didn’t say but I can’t understand your English over the phone so I simply said can you just split the order. It took her less than a minute to split it so I don’t understand why she was so mad at me. I felt disrespected because as a loyal customer why can’t you just accommodate immediately instead of arguing like we’re high schoolers . Her attitude is literally just like a high schoolers.
So the next time I was like let me just order again hoping that was a bad day but this time I got the young boy. His attitude changed and he started acting just like her. God forbid you don’t leave a tip on a pickup order they treat you differently lol.
So I stopped going , than my younger sibling came home after going there with his friends and said the California taco ladies attitude is disgusting I’m never going there again. Keep in mind I didn’t even tell him what happened with me and her. So he has stopped going. Two weeks later I was hungry and told my mom to pick up my California taco order. They told her 10-15 minutes and it took FORTY MINUTES YALL. And the boy was so rude to my mom. Sorry for the long story but I just have to warn y’all , my family has now boycotted this California taco location. I don’t care how good the food is if the service is bad you won’t...
Read moreSo this is the first California Taco Shop I’ve had to write a not so good review about. We came in July 24 @4:56pm. My review is not about the food, but about the service my mom and I received. When we entered, no greeting and the person taking our order (Yoselin) was not friendly at all. We were given salsa for the table and after tasting it, we didn’t like it at all. We’ve had good salsa, that just wasn’t good. So I saw some on the counter and we figured we’d try those. When the waitress came back, she seemed irritated that we did. I told her we just wanted to try them. I didn’t want to be mean and say the salsa wasn’t good, but anyway it was obvious she was not happy we did that. She then proceeded to take all the salsa and put it away. Whatever, fine. I’m sorry if we weren’t supposed to touch it, but at the end of the day, not really a big deal. I’ve been in customer service, so when she saw we took it, she could’ve just simply said, “I’m sorry but we’ll have to charge extra for that”. Again, not a big deal and that would’ve been the professional thing to do. I knew I was going to pay something for it, because she definitely let us know she wasn’t happy. When I paid, we were charged 1.99 for two of them. It’s a little steep but maybe she’s trying to send a message. That was obvious because the other girl with her was laughing. I guess we were caught:)) I’m not gonna fight about $4, I don’t care about that. What I’m less than impressed with is the customer service. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that’s not my problem. You’re in customer service. I think they could take a lesson from the young man in the Cranston location. I wish I would’ve had his name....
Read moreWent to The johnston location for the first time after being a loyal customer of the Plainfield ave one in cranston.
My wife and I sat in to dine around 4pm.
First off. We waited at the table for almost 10 minutes before they asked us what we wanted to drink. Then I had walked up to the counter to ask if we were getting the usual house chips and salsa. The little tubby guy behind the counter was extremely rude and gave me a shirt "NO". I stood there and stared at him waiting for a reason why and until I asked him he said "we don't do that here, at this location we charge so I can add it to your bill if you like"
That should have been our que to leave but we were starving and both ordered the Carne Asada.
The wait time for that was about 10 minutes. Pretty fast for a steak.
Whatever you do don't get the steak. The meat was grade D cuts with tonsssss of fat!
My wife only ate half of her steak and it made her sick for a week!!! Fever everyday and the bubble guts. !!
I'm never going there or recommending that location to anyone. Beware the steak carne asada was undercooked. I wonder how long they had that nasty piece of meat in the kitchen before they got rid of it by serving us. I'm pissed and the little tubby guy with curls needs to be aware of his customer service since...
