The Johnstown Lunch Box — Restaurant in Johnstown

I am docking a star only because the couple in front of me in line finished their meal before I received my lunch and the person behind me got theirs before I did. I assume that maybe they needed extra time for my combo. It wasn't too big of a deal because I wasn't in a rush. If you are able to take your time for a lunch break, this is a great place because the food was delicious and the employees were pleasant. If in a rush, then there's a McDonald's with inferior food across the street. I recommend the Lunch Box any time you're able to catch their limited hours...

We went here the other day to give a local restaurant a try. I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich and my wife ordered the Triple Grilled Cheese with a side of their Loaded Baked Potato soup. All three items were delicious. I didn't think I could enjoy a Roast Beef sandwich as much as I did this one. The whole atmosphere is awesome and welcoming. They have a ton of local artwork hanging on the walls for sale, it's always so cool to see a local restaurant supporting local artists! You should go out of your way to eat here, or if you’re already in town, seriously, check it out. My job takes me all over the state by car, and I try to support small business in all the towns I go to. I decided to stop by with the break in my schedule. I tried the Ruben. I love a good rueben sandwich, but this one was so many levels above! It was fantastic! Perfectly toasted rye, juicy pastrami, tangy thousand island dressing and beautiful sauerkraut!! I will be back to try another item next...
