Wing Shack Johnstown — Restaurant in Johnstown

This evening, my family and I went to dinner at the Johnstown wing shack. This is at 6:30 at night. There’s just a few tables that were open. This place was a dirty and gross. The floors were sticky. It smelled like throw up as I got sodas. There were no lids, no straws, no napkins and sauce all over the counter. My wife sat down at the first table It was sticky and dirty so she moved to another table. It was also sticky as we sat down, wiped our own table, with sanitary wipes out of her purse. waiting for our food to come out. I witnessed multiple kitchen staff with no gloves handling food. One in particular was sitting on a trashcan, while the others were packing up customers to go orders after they pick up debris off the floor without washing their hands. The guy that was leaning on the trashcan, picked his underwear out of his butt and wiped his hands several times on his shirt and jeans and did not wash his hands at all. I counted a total of 15 times. A customer returned fries and he ate them on way to kitchen then wiped his hands on his back pockets. When my food came out, that guy tried to serve my food, we rejected the food and asked to speak to the manager, Skyla. She came out, gave a broken apology of I’m sorry and offered to personally remake the order. (As if I wanted to eat anything out of that cross contaminated kitchen ) she Offered to refunded my money. However, it will now take 5 to 10 business days to get it back on my card. We left $50 short, hungry, and no food. This place should be ashamed of itself and definitely needs more education on proper hygiene in a kitchen serving food. The health department should pay...

Went for a PTO fundraiser and after ordering our food waited over an hour for it to come out….and once we got it, it wasn’t piping hot or fresh 😔 chili fries were cold and literally soggy. Very disappointing.

One person was taking orders (in person and over the phone) and working the bar. One other person was bringing out orders (luckily she was sweet as can be). Definitely need more staff, especially on a busy fundraiser night.

Priority here seems to definitely be “to go” orders - they were coming out more often and much faster. While people in the dining room were left waiting and watching the to-go orders fly off the shelf.

Never saw one person wipe down a table or clear anything off. It appears they expect you to clear your own table off. Weird dynamic for a restaurant.

Atmosphere is definitely not family friendly - most the tables are high top, and hard for even my 5’3” self to get into comfortably- let alone my 8 year old.

Made an order for enough wings to feed 3 adults and 3 teenagers. We made sure to order enough sauce that everyone would be able to have what they wanted. I think the confusion of the staff came when we asked for it to be on the side and no ranch dressing. Or maybe the thought of not wanting ranch really offended the staff? We received the wings and a whole lot of ranch and no sauces that were ordered. We did get charged for them, they made sure of that portion. When we called, we were informed that they could refund our phone number or we could drive an hour back to get the refund. I will also have a large amount of people attending an event and we go out and eat together. This will not be the place EVER!

I did reach out after the reply to my review and did not hear back. I sent a follow up email and still had no response. I find that the manager will offer lip service on this platform but is unwilling to speak to unhappy costumers. With that being said, I will not take a response to...
