So I moved less than a mile away from this McDonald's 2 years ago. I don't think I ever got my fast food in under 20 minutes through the drive through. It has taken 15 minutes to get from placing my order to the first window where you pay.....then at least 10 more to get to where they are hanging hopefully your order out the window. I also don't think they ever got the order correct 100% on the first try...LOL I order xtra pickles on my sandwich usually and the guy one time taking the order had the worst time deciding what I wanted besides the xtra pickles...he first said just the pickles and burger that is all you want on it....I again repeated my order specifying put all the stuff on the burger you normally would and add extra pickles. Tonight for instance I ordered just an oreo mcflurry....figuring it is one thing how can they screw it up. LOL well I wen to look at it and take my spoon out of it and it was a half hollow cup....they only filled the one side of the cup and the other half was nothing. So I went in and showed the manager what I had received through the drive through saying I had not even removed the spoon yet....it was half a mcflurry.....the manager replaced my half hollow oreo mcflurry and I was able to keep the half one he said. It seems the orders I have gotten at this 'fast food' establishment have been consistently wrong and no quality of putting a correct order or customer service other than after you talk to a manager you get your order replaced with a correct version of what you order. But it always takes til the second time after the manager to get an order correct. the young people don't care about getting it right it seems or customer service....I have barely understood a couple of people over the drive through intercom because they talk low and then there is the mumblers. I have gone down the street to the next town over McDonald's and gotten great quality first time from them. Then I have even ventured to the next town in the other direction from me on Essington....no quality issues there either. Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with a recent order I placed at your establishment. My order ($40) included two 5 meal deals, both of which were missing the chicken nuggets that should have been included.
When I initially called to address the issue, the first representative I spoke with did not offer an apology, and while I was explaining the situation, I was placed on hold without any explanation and transferred to another person. The second representative also did not offer an apology. When I asked if I could come back to pick up the missing nuggets the following day, I was told to return tonight, despite the fact that it was already past midnight, and I live about 20 minutes away. When I requested to come earlier, the call was hung up before I could respond.
I have over 15 years of experience in customer service, and I believe this situation was handled unprofessionally. A simple apology or acknowledgment of the mistake would have sufficed and gone a long way toward resolving the issue. I understand the challenges of working in a busy 24-hour food establishment, but I believe that basic customer service, such as empathy and an apology, should be a standard practice, even for issues as minor as missing nuggets.
I would appreciate it if you could provide additional training to your staff on handling customer concerns with empathy and respect. Just like your employees, I work hard for my money, I expect to receive the items I paid for even if it’s something small.

I did an online order the other night, and in placing the order the entire app froze, then gave me an error saying it could not place my order and to use another payment method, but it still took the full amount out of my account immediately!! This is not the first time this has happened. When it happened before, the person at the counter was insistent that I ordered at the other mcdonald’s down the street, even though I had the address of the restaurant with my order right in front of me on the app. I told him the address my order was at and he said, “Oh, I don’t know the address of this store,” How are you going to tell me my order is not at a store that you don’t even know the address of??? how irresponsible in itself. I drove down the street to the other Mcdonald’s at Renwick and the manager their confirmed that the order was at the mcdonald’s that sent me away, but graciously made the meal for us for free since this Mcdonald’s refused to refund me. I’m now having this same issue, but cannot get a refund, and they refuse to give me my food because the “order isn’t in the system” Bull. Just a scam to steal money off of people.
