Pros: Pupusas are great and not greasy. The price is very reasonable.
Male owner and young waitress with glasses were nice and helpful.
Cons: Where do I begin, as soon as you walk in it’s a little confusing, do they wait on you or do you order up front. The front counter lady was very very rude. Not sure if she was having a bad day. The conversations were in Spanish and she kept referring to me as “Tu”(which in Spanish is disrespectful if I don’t know you) instead of usted. We asked what kind of drinks they had and instead of telling us, she says, It’s posted up there” referring to a little hand written note. She also told us if we were thinking of ordering dine in as well as taking some home we’d have to order all together because they were too busy. We got our food, I went to ask about my soda because they did bring it to the table . She said I had to pay for it because she forgot to charge for it. As good as the food is my family will not return which is too bad because we love to support...
Read moreI remember visiting this place years ago and it is not what it used to be. I have kids so every time we eat at an establishment we will more than like visit the restroom multiple times. This restrooms was subpar, and could really use some TLC or major work. The pupusas were just okay, not awful but definitely not flavor you come back for. There were multiple signs saying that no outside drinks were allowed and it didn't make sense until I drank the coffee. I like coffee with my breakfast, I always do. The coffee tasted old and there were coffee grounds in both my husband's and my cup, yuck! When the server came back to offer more coffee, it looked as though that coffee pot had not been cleaned in a while. . The waitress/hostess was pleasant but someone in the kitchen was angry and we could hear her complaining the whole time. If I give this place another chance I will de ordering to go, and I might out of hope that they were just having a bad morning because I do love pupusas and how close...
Read moreThis place is now called Pupuseria Guanacas and it was completely disappointing today. It took an hour and a half to get our full order because the server forgot to place some of our order from the beginning. We asked for Salvadoran Horchata because it is different from Mexican Horchata and he still brought us the wrong version. The tamales were greasy and when he brought our bean and cheese pupusa it was falling apart. It took an hour to get our two orders of platanos con frijoles and crema. We've always known to come early because it does take a while for the food to come because it is cooked to order, however, the service was terrible, and the food just doesn't taste the same as it used to. It doesn't look like there are new owners, the name just seems to have changed so not sure what's happened. This is the second time I come here to give it a chance but I think this is...
