Yum Yum Donuts — Restaurant in Jurupa Valley

I wouldn't even give it 1 star. Very disappointing. My son had applied this summer for a job there personally with the owner/manager, George. Note: We have known this guy for a long time, we been living here in Jurupa Valley/Riverside for many years. We walk in personally, and ask George if My son can apply, he said yes I'll put him to work but that had vacation for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks he asked for my son to go in and fill out an application and had him there for awhile. He asked if he can work that following Saturday at 4. He never said AM or PM so I assumed 4pm since he is young and i wouldnt think it would be 4am. Saturday came and george called my son and asked whybhe didnt come in, my son explained oh we thoughtbit was PM. So George said okay come tomorrow Sunday, he put him to work, which was great. Then my son was asked to go back Tuesday, Tuesday came and George asked that we go get a working permit from the school, if he doesn't have it he can not work which was OK but why didn't he ask for it in the beginning 🤔 so we go get the form from school that Tuesday and bring it back next day to get filled out. I have work Monday thru Friday so I had to take next day when George was there cause he would leave everyday by 11am. I had to do everything during my lunch time (I work close). I take form Wednesday, he fills out and I take it to the school but school notices no signature of management, George never signed. There, I have to go back and ask for a signature. Then I had to go back the next day, Thursday, during lunch to take it back to school. Schools says it will take a few days to get the permit. We pick up permit Tuesday of following week 4 days since we dropped of ( school is not open during weekends) My son calls George and tells him he has a permit and when can he start work again. George says sorry it took you 2 weeks to get back to me with a permit (not true cause it was only a few days after) and told him he already hired someone responsible. My son tried to explain that the permit took a few days, and he did what he was told to do. This is a 16 year old, he made him feel really bad cause he didn't do anything wrong and he was so excited to start working. I went personally to the donut shop and asked to speak to George, he knew it was us. He took 20 min when he comes out and I still had to look at him and ask if i can talk to him. I asked why he told my son he couldn't work anymore if he did what he was asked, George said he was not responsible the first day and it took 2 weeks for the permit. I told him look, this is a 16 year old kid and he doesn't drive, I had to make time to do everything he was told to do plus you didnt have no communication what so ever with me as his parent. All he said was" Nope he's old enough to know what to do". He didn't want to hear nothing and was very Rude about everything. This is the owner and has No customer service skills, seems like we were actually bothering him. So unprofessional. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, WE REALLY SAW GEORGES TRUE COLORS. VERY...

Never coming back to this location. We ordered a dozen donuts, 2 coffees, 2 bagels (chicken filet and an extreme melt). We got our coffees and donuts right away and waited for our bagels to be made. We got one bagel and when we asked if it would be long for the other bagel the guy at the register said he only charged us one bagel. I preceeded to show him the receipt that clearly showed we paid for two bagels and he didn't even know how to read the receipt (I've included here for reference). He said my receipt showed 6.99 and the total for one bagel was 7.49 (he was looking at his register total with taxes). After some more back and forth trying to explain the receipt, taxes, etc I asked him to punch in two medium coffees, dozen donuts and ONE bagel. The total came to about $26 so when I showed him my receipt that said $34.57 I thought for sure he would then realize we did pay for two bagels...but no. He was adamant and said he wasn't sure why it showed like that but that he only charged us one bagel. I will not be coming back to this place. The staff member could not even read the receipt or realize the mistake...

If I could give this place a negative 100 I would. I am visiting family and I remember these donuts from my child hood memories, so it was a must going to yum yum. I order 2 dozen donuts and I specifically wanted long John with Bavarian filling. I get home and there is no filling me and my family members were disappointed. So I called the location I explained to them what I wanted. So I went back up there and was told the donuts would be replaced or I could have my money back. She had taken my donuts I brought back up there to fill, instead of replacing with new. At this time the chocolate had all rubbed off. I expressed my concerns of what they had done. In the food industry you are not supposed to take food back that has exchanged hands. Due to them not listening to my concerns and the hassle of going back there I requested for my money back. An older man came around from the back to the front counter and slammed my refund on the counter. So much for customer service, because it is non existsistent.
