Birrieria Gonzalez — Restaurant in Jurupa Valley

I went in the morning, so I'll need to update when I go again at another point in the day.

The food is great, but the system is a little funky because it's more like a fast food place than a traditional restaurant. You need to order from the front and then find a seat. They'll bring it to you, but they won't check in on you afterwards (at least that's not what I saw).

Other than that, the birria itself is great. I ordered the plate that comes with rice, beans, birria, and tortillas doradas and it was delicious. The only thing is that it's all birria which makes sense because of the name but it would be nice to also have more variety of meats. It's obvious that it's working for them, but it would also be nice to include more food items.

I'd say that if you really want birria and your company does too, then this is the place for you. If you want a sit down restaurant with a waiter or more variety of food, you'll have to find...

Okay! I wanted to give it a shot since it’s a new place close to my house. I went today, and the lady taking my order wasn’t the nicest, but it was okay. I ordered four quesabirria tacos and a large drink. The price for the tacos was not bad, but $8 for a drink, it cost more than an order of two tacos. Heck! If I had known, I would have ordered more food and skipped the drink. 😆 🤣 Four tacos and one drink came to $24.

I understand the bad reviews. They ONLY serve birria mix meat and their prices are insane! A tiny sample cup of rice and beans is $5 EACH!! See photo. They ask for a tip but don't wait on you, just take your order. Restaurant prices for cheap fast food quality. Everything is served on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. We went in August so-cal weather and it was hotter INSIDE than out. Floor mostly clean. Music pretty loud with music videos on the TV. They don't have a menu, just a TV that changes every couple seconds with pictures of the food. No kid meals. No wonder we went Saturday night and were the only ones inside.
