for the food i would give 5 stars. the food was great. it was crispy, well seasoned, fried to perfection, and the portion sizes make it a great value. the workers in the back were friendly and courteous. i am giving my THREE star review because of timing. when u order your food online or over the phone for a future time it should be ready and waiting for u to pick up. THAT IS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF ORDERING IN ADVANCE. I get that things can be backed up (blame covid or whatever...) but when u have an order 2 hours in advance there is really no excuse to wait 20 minutes for your food. if u cant make orders on time then do away with your online and over the phone ordering. having these options available to customers gives them the false idea that they can do a quick stop for their food. this was the second time i have eaten here and both times was an online or phone order. both times i waited about 20 mins for my food. the first time i was actually late for work...waiting for food i had already paid for. the second time i arrived 15 mins after the pick up time to avoid the wait but still had to wait about 20 mins. do they not drop the fish until u come to pick it up?

second reason dor the 3 star review: they have no diet soda. i realize that this food is by no means healthy and is an occassio nal treat....but my wife is a type 1 diabetic and cant have the sugar. they have no sugar free drink options (that im aware)

in conclusion: my suggestions are to have a pickup window (either inside or drive through) for online or phone orders. people who called in orders hours in advance dont like waiting in line for multiple people who dont know what they want to make an order on the fly. if this isnt an option then do away with online and over the phone orsers so people will know they eill have to wait since ordering ahead is useless. lastely, please buy a case of diet when u do your purchasing. doesnt hsve to be a lot but it wouldbe nice if u had some on hand.

They barely wanted to give a free meal and then Proceed to tell me he should have asked for a refund if this is a place of business and you forget about one customer you make sure that one customer gets the best business after you messed up. What should have happened was you should have told him I am sorry that we forgot about your food I’m on to give it to you for free today and that would’ve been the end of it. I think, to be fair, I need to give Fish Express another try to accurately rate them. I had not been here before and I went at night. Their parking lot is not well lit and I was confused if it was a walk in or drive through only. I figured out that I had to go in. The lobby was very hectic. A guy showed up not wearing a covid mask even though it's clearly posted that you must wear one. He gave the counter a hard time because they challenged him on it. When I got to the window it was difficult to hear, but I placed my order. You have to show I.D. if you are using a debit or credit card. Apparently some of their clientele have ripped them off by using stolen cards. The lady forgot to give me my card back, so I had to ask for it. Because everything is made to order there is a wait. Rather than wait in the lobby (which is forbidden) you go back to your car and wait about 10 minutes then come back in to pick up your order. Everything was hot and correct. They even open the styrofoam containers so you can be sure you're getting what was ordered. The fish was good and a large order of fries is a significant amount. They ask if you want seasoning or ketchup or tartar sauce, etc. It is a little pricey. Two orders of fish and a large fry was between $ 18.00-19.00. I would like to go back during the day when things are a little slower and try them again to see if my visit was the norm or...
