So sad to write this because I really like their food but I am appalled at how I was treated. I ordered food last week & found 2 hairs in it. No big deal I worked in the restaurant industry for years, it happens. I call ask for a refund, I had a hard time understanding the woman and thought she said she would.
I stop by the restaurant today (have not received a refund) and talk to the woman working & she remembers me & starts yelling at me. (Mind you I went there just to ask if I could get another food order since they didn’t refund me)
She said she will not give me a refund because how does she not know I didn’t put my own hair in the food. She went on rant that Chinese people & American people have different hair & I should have brought the food in so they could determine if I put my own hair in the food. She then proceeded to rip her own hair out & put it on the counter.
I am a repeat customer there, I drive from the other side of town to get their food because it’s good. I couldn’t believe what this lady was saying to me. I nod & start walking out, she’s still yelling at me & I turn to her and say: I just won’t come back now. And she yells: Ok good!
I have never in my life came across a Karen before & never thought the first one would be the polite small Asian woman at my favorite Chinese restaurant in my city. But dang, I’m truly disappointed and saddened with the customer service...
Read moreThe place on my fridge where the takeout menu here is located is a well deserved resting place until it is time to call and order again.
I discovered this place with doordash when I first moved to Parchment/Comstock area as I wondered about the quality of Chinese takeout in the area. I tried here first, then one or two more places, and there was a clear winner.
I have only two complaints:
it is VERY difficult to get in and out of here during busy times on Riverview, moreso out. If you have to turn left to leave the place, figure out another way. There are some back roads that will get you around quicker than trying to turn to the light for Gull road.
they stopped delivery services here shortly after I tried it. This actually lead me to choose one of the other places around here for a moment, but I realized after two or three times of this that it is worth calling and picking up from here rather than just having it delivered. It ends up cheaper, and it definitely tastes better if I say so myself.
Always super friendly, very reasonably priced, a good selection of your Chinese-American favorites, and fast takeout have won my heart, and my soul is clearly filled by the delicious food. This is, in my opinion, the only Chinese takeout to get in a ten...
Read moreMost delicious Chinese food I have had in the entirety of the Midwest in general. I wish I lived in Kzoo would be eating this weekly. Hope they continue to thrive so I can come by again and again whenever I visit from GR.
The restaurant was clean with a quiet classic Chinese-American restaurant atmosphere. Our waitress was prompt, took accurate orders, and made sure we had everything to make our time there enjoyable.
Had the sesame chicken combo, got it with fried rice and crab Rangoon. The chicken was fried perfectly and tossed in a sauce that tasted amazing. Did order it spicy, and wasn't spicy enough to my tastes. Can't knock points off for that because I have a high spice tolerance in general. It is out shadowed by how well prepared, fresh, and tasty everything was. Could hardly put down my utensils for one second, ate my entire plate as if I never had food before in my life. This place even outshines Chinese food I've had in major cities like Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago.
Would definitely recommend always going in person here. It supports them better than ordering delivery from one of the food apps. It's also enjoyable to see their passion on full display while being served...
