We are having our home fixed at the present time. We have stayed at this Hampton for several days and paid a lot of money just to have the kids in a newer environment due to their servere allergies. If it was not for that, the service was horrible! The desk girls were very mean. Becky yelled at my son amd then told me NO to having a cookie they put on the counter. That they were for the guest! Which i was shocked thinking we have been here paying just the same amount of money as everyone. My son had peed the bed. Which he is not one to wet the bed. I told house keeping first thing. Our room was not attended for till hours later. Then, the manager Roberto came to my door and told me to put a "plastic Garbage" bag under him. Stating, house keeping told him it was a daily thing. Absolutely shocked. I havenever been treated like this. They had a guy waiting outside our door to clean the bed which was not damaged. So he rudely waited there for am hour. Then we needed one more night due to house, made reservations on line. Im a Diamond member. Got to the hotel sunday night and when checking in, Bonnie Receptionist, was so sweet. Roberto made her tell me that we were not allowed.to check in or stay at hotel because my son peed.the bed. He was traumatized. He did not even have the nerve to call and tell us. He had the receptionist. So between Becky the houskeeping staff who smell like smoke and are rude. Not to mention the blond head of house keeping park in diamond parking for smoke breaks. No smiles, you feel like you are not welcomed, and a manager with no customer service. Not only telling is we were not welcomed. He dis not arrange for any other ideas. Jacob the maintenance guy, was very kind and helpful too. So Bonnie and Jacob you two hold that hotel...
Read moreOur room is/was beautiful, updated, comfortable, clean, cozy, very pleasant, and had plenty of surface space in both the bathroom and the room to store all our belongings easily. Lots of mirrors, outlets, and decent lighting, too. However. The floors are so thin, it's AWFUL. The first morning, I was awakened at 4:30am by the guy above me and his heavy footsteps. Fast forward to the end of the day and I've been trying to get to sleep for an hour and a half but the stomping above is keeping me from much needed rest. Enter my 21-hour day and HOPEFULLY achieving soon 4 hours of sleep before I must be up again. If I could base my review on the staff, the cleanliness, the comfort, and the overall pleasant atmosphere, it would be a 10! But I'm here bc I need to SLEEP away from home. And THAT...is not happening. UPDATE Changing my original 1-star rating to a 4-star. I explained to the front desk my issue of not being able to sleep and they bent over backwards to fix it. The solution was to relocate to a different room on the 4th (top) floor. It was a great fix to MY problem, but it doesn't solve THE problem - the floor being too thin in between the levels. The staff was extremely accommodating to me in this situation, and I am deeply grateful. On our third night, I achieved almost as much sleep as the first two nights combined. 4 stars instead of 5 because they do still have a significant problem to solve. Also, the location is a little tricky the way it is situated adjacent to the airport. Several one-way roads, and it's easy to make a wrong turn. Then you're stuck touring parking lots. Airview Road should be marked better. Very difficult to see...
Read moreThis place is pretty beat up and kind of gross. I’ve stayed at many Hampton inns, this is by far the worst ever, and really damaging to the sparkling reputation that Hampton Inns have in my mind. It’s clear that the high ratings must have come a long time ago, and that they have not invested in this place in a long time. The grossest thing were the pitchers placed on top of trash cans and with them a sign saying “no liquids In the trash”, so, instead people fill this gross pitcher with their liquids, and it just sits there. There are all kinds of ad hoc signs printed off from a printer and taped to various things, many with poor grammar (and my grammar is Terrible). One sign says that “ice machine broke”, another says that there can be no “acceptations” to this curiously long list of rules posted in the elevator (I think they mean exceptions). It’s not the grammar that bugs me, just the obvious lack of concern about need a sign anyway, or the less than tactful use of the signs. Another 4 signs posted in the dining area warn people that they must wear shoes. There are signs for nearly everything at this hotel, all of them cheaply made and posted haphazardly with scotch tape. Oh well, at least it distracted from the not very clean kitchen and completely beat...
