McDonald's — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

Went through the drive-thru this am. Ordered a large Americano and a hash brown. I literally had to wait, pull forward, The person that brought it out to my car was rude!! I explained that the coffee was the wrong size that I ordered a large and she brought what she said was a medium (no it was a small), when I explained that I had paid for a large she started to argue that she only filled what she saw on the receipt. I then pulled out my receipt and TRIED to show her as she was walking back into the building. She then stated "I seen it" I don't know how she could have seen it since she was at the door with her back turned. She then said "I'm gonna make you another". I waited 10 minutes for a coffee that never came. The poor guy that was behind me, I don't know how long he waited for his breakfast. The only thing good about my visit today was the very nice gentleman at the drive up window that took my payment. I tried to call and speak with a manager, the first time, I was told that he stepped out and would be back in 10 minutes. When I called back 30 minutes later, the phone was not answered and a message could not be left. Talk about hiring the neuro divergent at this location. I would bypass it...

I am not a fan of this mega-chain fast food juggernaut as a general rule...I think I have been to, driven through, or traveled past perhaps thousands of individual locations during my coast-to-coast and international wandering spanning fifty years of life. I have experienced some of the worst customer service, order errors, and indifferently constructed menu items at so many McLocations that my expectations over the years have been flattened to nothing. This particular location sits on a very busy corner in the heart of downtown directly across from the Kalamazoo Transit Center, which isthe hub for all the city buses, Greyhound Bus Lines, and the local Amtrak train station. This brings a ton of people across in search of cheap food between stops...and attracts a lot of the transient population as well. Despite the big crowds and the high potential for chaos caused by people loitering, this McDonald's is very clean, efficient and well-run. My four different to-go orders were absolutely accurate, got to me fast, hot, given to me by a very attentive, personable staff. Well done; I no longer dread raiding the Dollar Menu for my teen son before I ride the bus back home after a morning of hospital appointments...

I wish I could give no stars for this raggedy run down McDonald's just at this location....the female staff is ghetto hood no customer service experience at all..they call the police on homeless PAYING customers for their made up rules for this restaurant.....the keep no waste basket in the bathroom and hardly no toilet tissue either....their too aggressive with customers for no reason and got the men working in back like puppets...whoever own this particular McDonald's should be ashamed that they have these black working there serving blacks and treat them the way they do...and anybody else they feel is homeless and down on their luck....u got construction workers, workers period, drive thru people, people getting off the bus ,and the homeless people, that the rude and nasty low down attitudes have ran people away from this location...they open at 5am for coffee and the food stay not fresh and nasty I got sick a couple weeks ago eating this food at this McDonald's... anywhere else customer service is exceptional and food taste immaculate. I would never eat here...
