Railroad spike knife- Really awesome and informative class! The instructor explained the metal working process at a high level so it was easy to understand exactly what was happening as you were working it.

The instructor guided me through the process to make a wonderful knife while also giving freedom to make it look the way I wanted it to. There were some examples laid out before we started which helped me choose what style I wanted to go for.

Class had a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Forge was clean and not once did I feel unsafe around or using the machinery. 100% worth every penny.

I definitely plan on returning and possibly bringing a guest or two in the future! Thank you...

Jutta is a fantastic teacher! The shop has a cool vibe. The experience is one I plan to repeat. I'm already looking to enlist friends and family to join me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I'm a 53YO SAHM female. I took my son (pictured). Ladies, forging steel is for us too. You have a place here! I'm hoping to get my daughters to come next. Pound out a little angst and make something beautiful. My shiny railroad spike knife found a home with my kitchen knives on the magnetic wall mount. Gotta show it off! Ask to see Jutta's Forged in Fire Championship...

Wow - taking the railroad spike knife class is one of the most interesting things our family has ever done together. We all loved it, and learned a lot - the decor is also amazing. The owner was an engaging, knowledgeable, and dynamic instructor who demonstrated various steps and supported each of us as we worked independently to craft our own unique knives. We will be back for additional classes! Kalamazoo is fortunate to have a place like Combat Ready Arts at the Park Trades Center, and we also look forward to exploring the other...
