4/18/25 was my second visit to this restaurant. I came back because the first time I came, I had a great experience, however I did not go inside my first time. Today, I walked in to pick up an order and was not greeted by staff. I patiently waited because I had placed my order over the phone at 3:08pm. After the customers in front of me had paid for their food, the female cashier walked to the back, again without speaking to me. I assumed she was going to get my order. I stood there nearly 10 mins. She didn't come back until another woman had came into the restaurant. When she came back, there was no apology for the unexplained wait, she didn't come back with any food. She asked me what I wanted to order. I let her know that my order was placed over the phone and gave her the name. She couldn't find my order and stated that she could take it now. I had to go back to my car to get my sisters part of her order to do that. When I got to the car, my sister called to speak with staff. She was told that our order was put in by THE OWNER who already left and that we'd have to come back inside to place our order and wait AGAIN because they were busy. I ended up not placing our order and leaving. We literally drove an hour and 40 mins from my house to come and eat here because that is what I wanted to eat specifically. 3rd time dining here was NOT a charm!!! My first time was a FANTASTIC 5 star experience!! The location, Atmosphere, Service, food, and prices were spot on!!! I enjoyed the entire experience!!!

Our 2nd was extremely lack luster....No corn bread to serve with greens yet greens were stll served FLAVORLESS...Pork Chops had no flavor, dry and over cooked (deep fried I think) the middle of the chops "bubbled" 😥 In fairness I did not write a review (Im rooting for their continued success!). I spoke with the owner about our disappointing experience instead...He said, "I really apologize, "let me make it up to you". My reply...I'm not looking for a free meal, but a GOOD meal and I'd like to visit your restaurant again. We all work so hard and going out to dinner is usually a treat or special occasion. The last thing you want to do is drive (I'm an hour away) receive lack luster service and flavorless overcooked food. The pork chops weren't seasoned well or at all and over cooked...The greens weren't seasoned well, the Mac and cheese was sticky....The take home order of wings were 2 inches long, under seasoned and over cooked. If my 2nd and 3rd visits were like my 1st visit...I'd still...
