Pa-Chan-Ga — Restaurant in Kankakee

The service here is awful. A few of the servers are super rude and the hostess is also rude. Went to eat last night and my son left his retainer. I called the restaurant and the staff told me they put it up and I could return the following day to get it because they were closing. The next day the staff “couldn’t find it because they weren’t working last night” we asked them if they could call the staff working last night to see where it was placed. And the server asked us to come back at 4 cause that’s when night shift starts shift. At 4pm the story now changed to the morning shift must have thrown it away. The server who spoke to me on the phone said “the cleaning crew must have thrown it away because the restaurant is professional and it’s disgusting and that I need to be more responsible” So I called in and asked to speak to the manager. she said she’s not here. I asked to speak to her boss and she hung up on me. I waited a few minutes and called back and asked to speak to the manager and again they had another story. So I drove up there. As soon as I entered and asked for a manager the hostess said “she’s not here” in a very condescending tone. So I asked to speak to whoever was in charge and she says “you arent going to speak to me like that” Now it’s 5:10 and I been standing here 40 mins waiting on a manager that supposedly comes in at 5 because I was asked again to come back at 5.

I’ve asked very simple questions like “can we confirm it was tossed” can we ask the cleaning crew that you say tossed it, can you call a manager. And I get it! Super irresponsible of my son to leave it. But it shouldn’t be this hard to get some answers if it was an...

Decided to come here to eat after hearing the good reviews and friends suggest it to me. However, I am disappointed, as I did not have a great experience unfortunately.

First I’ll start with the good. The chips and salsa was excellent, and gave me some high hopes to start out. The salsa is house made, and I would buy jars of it in a heartbeat! I also ordered queso as well, which was also really good.

The service and atmosphere was pretty bad. We walked in, and the music was overwhelmingly loud and kind of obnoxious. An employee nearly ran into me after he wasn’t watching where he was going, then got huffy when he did this, as if me simply being there was an issue. The waitress sat us down, then walked away without asking about drinks. About 5 minutes later, she asked about drinks, but before I could get my drink order….she walked away again! We finally placed our drink order, and eventually are food order. Once we received our food, the waitress never came back to check on us.

And for the food. I ordered the Chimichangas, with queso, and rice and beans. The rice and beans unfortunately were the best thing on the plate. The chicken in my chimichangas was dry, and hard to chew, and it seemed there was more tortilla than chicken. Eventually I ended up feeling nauseous, and I ended up not finishing my meal.

I definitely won’t be recommending Pachanga to any friends anytime soon, and I really don’t think it’s enough for me...

Idk what is going on honestly. I never leave reviews but I am impelled to.

1-My food and Appetizer came out together. Why? Idk I didn’t complain or anything but then when I went to eat my queso chimichangas they were cold as ice in the middle… if you spent time cooking them and brought the appetizer out like you normally would the food wouldn’t be rushed.

2- their was a huge obnoxious group of people being so loud you couldn’t hear the music. If you know this place, then you know that music is very loud which is what I like.. nah this group should’ve been asked to please be aware of others.

3- waitress did not bring straws.. after telling us she was getting them. You get busy, I’m understanding and I absolutely was. However I put in for an appetizer and then our meals. It all came out together. She never came back and only focused on her table. Can’t blame since the owner of “help” idk who he is. Tattoos and a hat cared more about flirting with some chick and her kid at a booth then assisting her or anyone for that matter.

Honestly never will I be back. And that’s alright. They won’t need the business but for anyone wanting to “try” this...
