CARELESS WITH FOOD ALLERGIES/ DIETARY STYLES! The absolute WORST customer service/carelessness I have EVER experienced from a restaurant. Online (via Google) says curbside pickup is available which was a factor in chosing this restaurant. I called and specified curbside pick up due to my young child falling asleep from traveling. Upon arriving, I called to find out they do not do curbside, but they did bring it out. That is where anything good stops. My garden skillet that was supposed to have no meat came with scattered pieces of sausage and bacon as if it had been carelessly cooked in or near another order where meat was able to fall in. Being a lifelong vegetarian I was unhappy to say the least. I call and let the lady on the phone know and of course she offered the obligatory "we can make another". While that's a great gesture, my son was asleep. I carried him inside our hotel after picking up this food and packing him back up to drive 10-15 min one way was just not an option which I communicated. I did however state that I would like a refund for at least the skillet that was incorrect and she said "sure come on back in". I then asked for a manager in the hopes that they might have a way to void the transaction (I've worked at every level in restaurant's from hostess to management and often when the transaction has not been "finalized" by entering the tip, the transaction can simply be voided-no need to drive back in). In addition, I wanted to voice my concern to the manager himself because often times a hostess or server relaying message to the manager does not get a second thought. Therefore, no chance to improve upon mistakes. I received a very young sounding girl claiming to be the "manager"(who I believed to be the same person who brought out my order). I asked "are you the manager" and she replied that she was the lead in charge. I asked if they had a manager on duty. She said "we do, but he will probably just tell me to take the call". I responded by letting her know that having been in this industry, I'm aware of how unprofessional this is". She then got the "manager". The next (3rd) person I received was a Hispanic male who displayed little English, no management skills (barely even spoke/commented on my issue), and ended with "no time to come back for your money?".- I'm wondering if they just threw on a line cook to impersonate a manager??? But I explained that I never said it was a matter of time. It was a matter of my child is sleeping in a hotel bed now and I'm not going to wake him to come back immediately. I had already stated that I wanted to know if they could void the transaction without my presence and if not then yes, later, I would come back in. Next thing I know I'm hearing a "hello?" from the same lady who had just claimed to be "the lead"/substitute manager. Confused I said "hello?" She says "He said what do you want to do?". By this point I am beyond annoyed. I AGAIN state EXACTLY what I am looking for to resolve my issue and why I am requesting that (my child is sleeping!!!). "Can it be voided? if not, I have stated I will come in later before close". She HANGS UP ON ME! I call back and say "Hi, I just got hung up on and I just want my refund". She says "we can only do cash refunds in person". I ask when they close" she responds 3pm and hangs up again. This should have been handled differently. It should have been a quick talk with the manager, him letting me know whether or not my transaction could be voided, me accepting whichever answer given because that how it goes sometimes, and then coming in for my refund. The "pretend managers" and absence of accountability is repulsive. The lack of professionalism is concerning and apparently not new- reading other reviews.
I will update on if I was actually given my refund upon returning to the store...
Read moreWe have eaten here many times and the service was terrible this time. There was a big group of us and one of us ordered a plate of fruit and it came out with mold on it. It was sent back and the exact same plate was brought back out with a couple of new pieces of fruit on it and there were still moldy pieces. Another of us ordered 2 blueberry lemon crepes and they did not put blueberries in it so that plate was sent back. When it came back, again it was the same plate with the whip cream melted and all they did was throw blueberries on top and sprinkle some blueberry sauce on top. Our waiter was very kind and we could tell he felt bad. It was a kitchen issue. There were two other tables around us complaining about their food as well and we could hear them saying things were not correct. The most unfortunate thing is the group we were with are from Missouri and come up a few times a year and we always have breakfast the day they leave and I don't think we or they will come back. We all can understand being busy but there is no excuse for moldy food and sending out the same plates and not...
Read moreI just threw up all over bills diner. Let's start with that statement.
I told them I had food allergies and that I would get sick if I ate certain foods here. The waitress understood and put it down on the ticket order (She showed me later)
I began eating the omelette. Half way through the omelette I started to feel weird. Then I realized why, I noticed that the specific item I requested not to be added was in my food.
About ten minutes later I ran to the bathroom with a bad headache and vomited all over the bathroom.
We informed the owner and he said , "Well, why did you order this omelette?!" Even though it says on the ticket for me not to have it in my food. They wouldn't take the rest of the food off of our bill that I had to throw up with it. They took off ten bucks and basically said it was my fault for ordering the omelette even though I requested for them not to put certain items in my food.
The owner is rude and arrogant. If you have serious food allergies, don't eat here. This restaurant could cause you serious harm and the...
