Flyin Buffalo — Restaurant in Kannapolis

I really want to give this palace 3.5 stars because it's better than 3 stars, it's just not quite 4 stars for a few reasons. First and foremost the food is good here...most of it is better than good. My wife gets the wings which she would tell you are 5 star all day. I get different plates, sometimes chicken tenders, sometimes subs, they're solid.

The pizza however is horrible... Just don't go here for pizza. If that was the entire story I'd give this 4 stars, my issue is that the vast majority of times we order food, our order is messed up. Every so often I get it, but it's getting to the point where it's almost every single time, and I'm not talking about they forgot the ranch or something. On many occasions my wife's wings do not come with the sauce she orders them in, and when they don't she doesn't care for them as she doesn't like dry wings, so her dinner is basically ruined, and for that to happen 50% of the time.

So if they can get a bit more organized and be more accurate on orders they can easily be a 4 star spot...and they should just drop the pizza...

I like their food and the staff seems to be friendly, but their prices (especially delivery) seems to be on the high side for fast food. I wouldn't recommend delivery, they're a little on the slow side, almost always a hour or more. Tipping is ridiculous! They charge you for delivery, if ordering with a card you can add a tip, then they want you to tip the driver. I'm sorry I might be old school, but pay the delivery guy from the delivery charge and the tip. Enough is enough... you end up paying just as much in the extra charges as you do for the food!. I like the convenience of the delivery, but I think I will stick to picking it up myself. Oh, one last thing if you want half your wings a different flavor you have to order a minimum of 25 wings! I ordered 15 and couldn't get a 8/7 split. I could order 10 and 5, but that would cost more. Overall I do like their food and staff. But again a little pricey, too much cost for delivery and they could be a little more customer friendly about how they serve...

Best wings in town! Edited 9/15/25. I used to come to Flying Buffalo almost every Monday with friends and family for their all-you-can-eat wings. This past Monday was our last.

Parking was tight as usual, so I parked in front of the convenience store that shares the same building and lot with Flying Buffalo. Immediately, I was confronted by a woman with a very hostile attitude who told me to move my car if I wasn’t a “customer.” I politely explained that I was a customer, and a sign would help clear up the confusion, but instead of handling it professionally, she got in my face, pointed her finger at me, and shouted for me to leave. She then claimed she also owned the building Flying Buffalo operates in.

I went inside and told the management. After being treated this way, I will no longer return, and I’ll be sharing this experience across Cabarrus/Rowan County so others know how poorly customers are treated here. No wing special is worth being harassed and...
