We had lunch on a Saturday which could be a slow time. The atmosphere was very loud! Even though we appeared to be first customers in the pool table area there was loud music playing and in the dinning area they had 4 televisions all on different channels all with their volume on fairly loud. Made for a very uncomfortable auditory experience. We asked to have them muted and that helped. The menus had different number of pages mine appeared to be missing a page but they also appeared to be different versions. Meal prices average $20 per person not including drink. I think they specialize in grilled food. There is not in my opinion enough english translation on signage and menu to allow me to appreciate any nuances of what region their quisine is from. The name Asado in Google comes back as being Argentinian barbecue, but we did not think the food was very South American. There are a few execution issues. Menus are printed on paper and stapled together. That has some health concerns as they cannot sanitize them. There are a large number of dishes that have chorizo with them. If you dislike the spices in chorizo as I do it greatly limits your options. I asked about substitutions for chorizo, and was offered items such as beans or rice. I really don't see substituting a meat for rice or beans as a equal substitution. Food was all good taste wise and servings are large but lack of clarity on munu to me was issue. I decided on a kebob dish that on menu said it was pork and chicken but waitress saig it was beef and chicken or a combo of chicken beef and shrimp. I orderd the chicken and beef but was not asked how I would like the beef cooked. All of our dishes came out at different times for the 4 of us. Three dishes came out in amount of time I would for them to carry just one plate at time but mine came out about 10 minutes later than everyone else's. It is very possible that the intended clientele is Spanish speaking. They may also be more of a live music place as they have space for a band. The food tasted good but the front of house issues and execution issues really should not be happening for the...
Read moreI don't like giving negative reviews but here it goes. First off the music was blaring so loud I couldn't hear the waitress. She turned it down but then it got turned way back up. They weren't extremely busy . I ordered taco salad and there was maybe a half teaspoon of Pico on top. The ground beef was dripping in grease and tasted like pure salt. I addressed this to her which she says she will tell kitchen. Thus didn't do anything for me. A smothered enchilada was also ordered and the sauce was gross and mostly filled with tasteless rice and bland tasting grilled chicken. We had fresh grilled jalapenos whuch is a plus and not pickled a d we liked that Plantains were ordered but she forgot to put the order in. Finally those came and were edible but not great. No drink refills were ever given we asked for Salsa and got a 2 small dipping sized amount. We both ate maybe 4 bites and told her it just wasn't edible. . They offered a 25% discount which I didn't think was right. We shouldn't have paid anything but for the jalapeños and plantains. . I dont know if it was the owner who walked by our table with the waitress and they were taking but she went on and didn't care about our satisfaction or lack of. She was friendly to other tables but didn't care about us. Poor food and customer service. I'd give a zero...

I am wearing commercial-grade earplugs in my own home and can’t sleep because it is so loud. I will never eat here. Neighbors, please contact Neighborhood Preservation Kansas City to make...
