Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Kansas City

I love this place. The baristas are so friendly and helpful. One time I tried a new drink, and as I was driving away I decided I did not like the drink, so I drove back to Dutch Bros to see if they would make me a different drink. (I'd heard on social media that if you didn't like your drink they would give you a new one.) I felt self-conscious and hoped I wasn't coming off as just another complaining customer. But they were so nice and made me feel completely at ease. I got my usual drink - the sugar-free golden eagle - for free, and it was delicious as always. I get very nervous when bringing up odd requests to service people because I know they have to deal with demands from customers all day. I went to this location for the first time this past Wednesday morning, maybe 6 am or so. The young man was engaging and friendly and asked how my day was going to go. Let's just say the last month has not been pleasant, including not having the ability to have coffee before I leave my home.

This gentleman gave me my coffee. I was nearly overcome with disbelief. This was perhaps one of the most kind acts ever in my life. I felt rather ashamed as I had no cash on me, and planned on tip from my card.

I have had a great experience every time I’ve visited this location… But this morning, Wednesday October 15, I was having an exceptionally bad morning and both employees that I interacted with were so sweet and positive and really brightened my day.
