This is a wonderful, quaint place to visit. They have a dim, comfortable mood set in the lobby and every individual with whom I interacted was most pleasant. While the menu consists mostly of sushi as one would expect, they also have a small selection of other classic Japanese-style fair. Those dinners/lunches consist of an entree, house salad, steamed rice (while I didn't see an option for fried rice, I made no inquiries), and a side of steamed carrots. I enjoyed everything I tasted, from the freshly made sushi crafted in view of our table to the perfectly prepared tonkatsu. I believe this place would receive overwhelming amounts of patronage if their business was more visible from the road (one has to spot blue lettering on the window of larger building), had a more dedicated parking area, and had more sizeable location in general. They manage their small limited space wonderfully though it could possibly deter large groups. Ultimately I found this to be a fantastic experience and would be more than...
Read moreThe food was amazing. I’ve been to this place a few times before and loved it had a very kind waitress before. I went yesterday with my boyfriend and his family and the service was AWFUL it was one waitress i’ve never seen before a very pretty younger 17-20 year old hispanic girl. Her table waiting skills were some of the worst i’ve ever seen working in the food service. She took half an hour after we were all visibly done to give us our check after i asked her. She did not check on our table at all. Her manners were very rude and unprofessional. She did not even take our drink orders i had to ask her, and then continued to drop my boyfriends aunts credit card loosing it. I tried being kind despite the bad service but she was still very rude and not very social. I recommend if you really want people to continue coming to hire better servers because it makes or breaks the experience. I am sure that she was not trying to be rude on purpose but i seriously do not think this is the line of...
Read moreWe went for dinner on Friday night. There's a small parking lot for the building and we got the last spot in the corner. The place was tiny, we waited for very long because of the numerous takeout orders. I have never eaten raw scallops and I don't eat spicy because the taste often dominates other tastes, but I decided to give the Arrowhead a try: spicy scallop. It's a very interesting experience: the raw ingredients are very fresh and firm, not much of the taste except the freshness, then few seconds after swallowing, I can feel the hotness simmering back in the throat. I get to taste the ingredients and the slow burn separately; it changes my perspective about spicy food! About the fried ice-cream for dessert: the cake is soft and fluffy, not sweet at all, crispy shell, and homemade sauce of strawberry-banana purée. I felt like this was another main dish. I like the combined texture and not-too-sweet taste. The pricy price...
