KC Birria — Restaurant in Kansas City

I'm not sure why this place has 5 stars. I went in for lunch thinking this place had good birria but honestly it does not. The server/cook was really nice and had great customer service but the quality of the food was not there. This place is located by an alley and had alot of homeless people passing by and I was not comfortable eating there. I gulped down the tacos to get out of there. The tacos are sooo small and with little meat. The meat needs flavor. The presentation of the plates are nice, it had its salsas, lime, and cucumber. The consome was the only thing I enjoyed. The burritos are soo skinny, it needs more rice and beans and flavor!!! Good...

Had an initial good impression of KC Birria at First Fridays. Decided to order quesabirrias that first time and they were amazing! Juicy, flavorful and consomé to dip in and the jalapeños and onions to top with. This time, I ordered the same thing and got dry cheese tacos topped with a bit of birria and nooo consomé, jalapeños or onions. It was like they changed within a week. Not sure what happened but this is not what I had loved...
