Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Kansas City

The worse experience I've ever had at any fast food restaurant ever and that's saying something. First of all when we showed up we decided to go inside to eat as the drive thru was very backed up. According to the sign on the door for the dine in hours they weren't supposed to be closed for another 2 1/2 hours but the doors were locked. We thought that was weird but decided we would just go through the drive thru. It literally took an hour to get through their drive thru!! We would have certainly left the line way before we reached that point but due to the way their parking lot is set up you can't exit the drive thru much after you enter it due to a curb on one side and fence on the other. Not only was this very unacceptable but when we finally got to the point to order they were out of multiple items including their nuggets and Mac n cheese both of which we were going to give our almost 3 year old daughter that was with us. It wasn't hard to figure out why everything was running the way it was one we reached the window. There was one middle aged woman who we watched literally do everything although there were 3 other younger coworkers present. One of them was standing just inside the window playing on his phone, the young girl standing by the soda machine who only poured the sodas up (The only thing we saw anyone else do) was dancing to music, when the middle aged lady went to put lids on them she asked which one was which and the girl just said, “I don't know." and laughed about it, another young man was just strolling around looking extremely zoned out. I have never seen this level of poor service and unprofessionalism in my life. I love Popeyes food, but, would skip a meal before eating at this location ever again. Bad, bad experience here for the third time in a row and I’m just having enough. The first time i ordered a meal and a la carte item and they just gave me the meal and forgot about the la carte item. It was drive through so I didn’t find out until I got home.

The second time i ordered 5 piece chicken fingers and they only gave me four - the fifth was about the size of a chicken nugget (which is about 1/4 the size of other chicken fingers).

Today is the third time they made me mad. I waited in line watching the customer in front of me being furious at the cashier and I was stupid enough to feel bad for the cashier. It seemed that customer had to swipe her credit card multiple times. When it was finally my turn, I waited for at least 10 minutes because their thermal receipt printer was not working. I waited patiently for them to fix it. When they were finally ready, they scanned my rewards points QR code but the manager refused to give me the burger that was redeemed with rewards points. I told him that the code had been scanned, showed him that 600 rewards points had been redeemed, and explained multiple times. He kept saying “why would I give you the burger” because allegedly the transaction was not showing up on the system. He asked me to separately buy another burger - I refused and showed him the transaction history on my phone but he insisted that it’s none of his business that the order didn’t go through. When he finally saw the order on the system on his end, he didn’t apologize - he just said “I’ll give you the burger” in a harsh tone. I’m so pissed. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We pulled up to the window and they asked to take our order, I said one second please and immediately they asked me to reverse so I wouldnt mess up there timer on how long it takes on orders

They didnt have half the food on the menu.

After we paid we had to move my car to the front and wait for the food to come out... Some big fat girl took forever to bring our order out. She took her precious time talking to everybody in Popeyes while holding our order. When she go to the car I asked for Honey Mustard and she replied " YOU DIDNT SAY IT AT THE WINDOW so NO" . I said well can I have some please.. She walks back in and doesn't come back out.

I pull up to the side and walk in and ask for Honey Mustard and she runs and hides in the back. So i ask for Ranch and they toss me one from a far.

We looked in our bags of food and instead of 2 orders of RED BEANS AND RICE that the worker clearly repeated back to us, we got sides of DIRTY RICE and GREEN BEANS.
