Yummi Crab — Restaurant in Kansas City

If I could give this experience 10 stars I would! Finally celebrating my Birthday we chose this as our spot. First thoughts walking in is that it obviously took alot of time to build a restaurant in The Landing that makes you feel like you are at the ocean the wood work was really neat and everything was super clean! Our server Jesse went above and beyond making me a mocktail and it was really REALLY good and very pretty! We got calamari which is the best I have ever had, the legs were ginormous and already ready to tear the plumpest crab out. I can't remember what it was called basically the sauce with every butter flavor mixed and it was 🔥🔥 heat... not spicy just ultra savory, yummi (😉), seriously just so unique and amazing on my taste buds. Jesse I would say he was the best server I've ever had best server in KC for sure... just one of those right place right time encounters. We went into this place looking to unwind after a long difficult week and left feeling so much better. He was just very kind and accommodating. We will be back. Upon entering the restaurant, it was noticeably empty, which should have been a red flag. Unfortunately, the service mirrored the atmosphere. The waitress was incredibly rude, making it clear she didn’t want to be there. Despite the restaurant automatically charging a 10% service fee, which we’re generally fine with, the service was minimal at best. Beyond taking our order and delivering the check, she didn’t do much. We had to go to the front ourselves to request refills, condiments, and even silverware, all while dealing with her terrible attitude.

As for the food, we ordered 1 lb of shrimp with lemon pepper (medium), and it was a disaster. The sauce tasted like pure oil, with no real flavor, and the shrimp—only 7 of them—were severely overcooked, making the shells almost impossible to peel. The calamari was chewy, and the catfish was soggy. We requested Cajun seasoning, but had to mix it in ourselves to salvage some flavor.

It’s no surprise this place was empty. The combination of subpar food and poor service shows they don’t value their customers, especially since they automatically charge a service fee. Needless to say, we won’t...

Heard about this spot and decided to try it. Was a little skeptical due to it being at the landing mall. I will say the place looks clean from the lobbies view. But as I sat there and waited for our food. The workers seemed scared, timid even. There one one waitress running around looking lost, While the two other girls just stood and waited for customers, I felt sorry for her and the manager wasn’t nice when she asked questions. Nor did anyone offer to help her. He just stood and watched everything with his hands behind his back. After a little wait, the food finally is ready. And I can honestly say that I did not like it. Shrimp seafood combo wasn’t worth what was paid x2 and they need a better seasoning cause the Cajun Buffalo they offer for the fried shrimp! Yuck! And they were soggy.
