Review of Las Tarascas on Mason Road I had visited Las Tarascas on Mason Road from time to time for lunch for several years, even before they relocated the store to the front of the building. Writing a review for a place like this can be challenging, as it often involves comparing it to other similar establishments. This neighborhood store serves the local community, making its role critical to the area. However, for those of us who have been customers over the years, some noticeable changes have not been favorable to patrons. One recurring issue is the lack of cleanliness. The tables are often left uncleaned by the staff, which affects the overall eating experience. Additionally, customer service can be inconsistent, ranging from indifferent to unfriendly, depending on the day and staff. The restroom is terrible most of the time. Another concern is the inconsistency in food preparation. While there have been times when cooking staff leave meals lacking quality, this has become unpredictable, which can be disappointing for repeat customers. I had a particularly unpleasant experience at the butcher counter on my most recent visit just a few weeks before writing this note. The customer service there was unsatisfactory, leaving a negative impression during that visit. Read moreIf you go to this place please check your receipts, this is the second time that they charged me more without telling me, I always pay with a debit card (is not even a fee for credit card use), the lady at the cash register is rude and her actitude just seems deceitful, she manually inputs the amount she is charging to your card, without telling you before about that aditional “fee”. The surcharge is not even reflected on your receipt. This time I asked her why she was charging me more so she called the manager, but he was not able to explain me what is the reason for the surcharge, or why they didn’t tell me they will charge it to my card before they did. Both were rude and unprofessional, she told me to shut up and to go complain to the owner, who was not even there. Read moreJust Ordered a Large menudo and when I arrived home, I noticed the menudo was still raw and did not have all the ingredients. I called the store and informed them of the issue and they first stated it was cooked without them even offering to look at it. I informed them I go there all the time and know what there product looks or taste. She then called me back within minutes and stated to bring the product back to store and they would exchanged it. When arrived they then wouldn't, because it was the same batch they were selling. They knew it was still raw. They didn't even offer my money back or a in store credit for future use.
