This place opened up 7-8 months ago so still fairly new. With so much competition and a Vietnamese pho place every half mile, this place offered one of the best phos I have had. We ordered number 13 (small) and grilled chicken vermicelli and kids pho. They were out of white meat for the kids pho which we prefer but ended up ordering the dark meat as we were already there. The place is owned by 2 friends and the chef owner himself personally came and made some recommendations on the menu. He also makes the chilli hot sauce himself which was so good! The protein portion in the vermicelli bowl was very generous (a suggestion to cut the chicken a bit smaller for easier consumption). The steak in the pho was so tender, nicely cooked and tasted delicious. I am glad they have different sizes in the bowls so that all age groups can enjoy as per their appetite level. The ambience is nice and cozy and lots of seating available. I liked the fact that as soon as I stepped out of the restroom and went for the napkins, he immediately asked me if the restroom was out of napkins and immediately attended to it. This kind of attention, care and concern definitely is appreciated and goes a long way. I will definitely be back for the pho! Am already...
Read moreSo I was starving after fasting for hours for some medical tests, and I hit up Google Maps looking for a breakfast spot. Stumbled upon Pho Dien Katy @ Mason Rd, and it’s got a 5-star rating with over 120 reviews – I was like, “Wait, what?! 😱”. First win: they open at 9AM. Most pho places don’t even think about opening till 11, so this was already a big plus.
The staff? Super friendly, super attentive. My wife and I both ordered the #11 (beef noodle soup with eye round steak and fatty brisket), and wow, it was fire. The broth was packed with flavor, and the portions of noodles and beef were generous. I went for the X-Large, and honestly, that thing is massive for one person. Next time, I’m sticking to the Large for sure.
The staff kept checking in to see if we needed anything and if we were enjoying the food – it felt super genuine, and I appreciated that a lot. To top it off, we tried the flan with shaved ice, condensed milk, and Vietnamese coffee on top… absolute perfection. That was the cherry on top for sure.
Highly recommend this place – y’all gotta check it out and show it some love....
Read moreI was feeling a little sick and did not want to cook, so of course pho was the best option.
We heard this place is a franchise of Pho Dien in Bellaire, so we were excited to try it. When we got there, it was not too busy, so there was no wait at all. The ambiance was cozy and very Vietnamese, just like many other pho spots.
We skipped appetizers since all I wanted was pho. They also offered two different types of noodles, fresh and regular pack noodles. I chooses fresh one because that's how the OG Pho is.
We ordered two bowls with our choice of meats. The broth had flavor, but it still felt like it was missing something compared to the original Bellaire location. It also was not as hot as I usually like. I also ordered the egg and bone marrow bowl, which came with less marrow than I normally expect, but it was still fine.
Overall, I would say this place is okay. Not amazing but not bad either, just a decent spot to try. The service is quick and attentive. Everyone's taste is different, so it might be better...
