Honestly, I’m surprised this place is still open with how bad the staff is. When they first opened, I used to love coming here. But now, it’s like they hire anybody. The workers act like they'd rather be on their phones, ignoring customers like a bunch of teenagers. Whenever I'd go in there, it would feel like I wasn't supposed to be there because there is no one that greets you or even really makes eye contact—like customers aren't a priority (isn't this supposed to be a business?). I try to support local businesses, but this place doesn't deserve it. Hopefully one day they can improve. There’s way better spots on the island where they’re not rude and actually care about and acknowledge the customers and service. My poor experiences here was not just one time, it was MANY and many people I know have had the same. One time I ordered online, went inside to pick up when it was ready, and had to wait 15 minutes for them to acknowledge me even though I could see my order in their fridge. Never again. Their food quality also went downhill. Not worth the time, money, or experience in having to deal with...
Read moreI wish I had read prior reviews about the horrible attitude of the staff members. I was stunned at the rudeness my family received today.
When we went to pay, the prices rang up significantly more than on the menu. Initially believing it an error, I asked the cashier to check. That was when the cashier moved aside papers and a jar to reveal a previously hidden paper stating their prices had recently changed, it did not even state the new prices. I commented “that’s not cool” to which the lady in the back came out, rudely admonishing me for even being surprised that their prices were incorrectly posted. She was shouting that she was going to toss and cancel our order, we don’t need to shop here, and other shouting comments. She completely embarrassed us in front of children and other customers.
One of the children stayed back after I left and came back to saying this lady was then mocking us after I had left. Listen to the reviews, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! Would give 0...
Read moreThis just might be the best acai bowl I've ever had! Definitely the best one I had on my trip to Kauai!
I got the Nui (Coconut) Hapa (50/50 mix of Acai & Pitaya) Bowl - Base layered with coconut flakes, haupia (coconut pudding), and granola (I chose AAJC’s Homemade Granola but there's a raw gluten free option too). It is topped with banana, mango, papaya, and honey. It was absolutely incredible!
My boyfriend ordered the Lumahai Sunrise smoothie - banana, pineapple, papaya, mango, lilikoi (passionfruit) coconut milk, and coconut water, which he enjoyed.
The wait wasn't long compared to other places on the island, it took about 5 minutes to order and about 15 minutes to get my bowl. The shop is cute with a little selection of merchandise and health/wellness products. It is located in a strip mall (next to Panda Express). There are tables outside and bathrooms in the strip mall around the corner.
You can't miss these acai...
