I wanted to rate this place 0 stars. I didn't even eat my food before placing this review. When I walked up to the food truck the lady didn't speak. I spoke and she asked me for my order. I inquired about the Thia Ice Tea. I wanted to know what type of flavor the tea had, as this was my first time trying. She said she couldn't explain it to me and asked me was it my first time trying. Well yes, that's why I asking. She than told me it was sweet. I asked her how long the food would take and she said 5-10 minutes. I was parked right in front of the truck. While waiting in my truck, I saw her place a food container outside the window on the counter. I waited and waited for her to say that my food was ready, but she didn't. Now if I didn't see her interacting with another customer, I probably would not have wrote this review. A man placed his order before me, she spoke, brought his food to his car and I could see her smiling and talking during the interaction. Now me on the other hand, she had no smile, didn't speak, set my food OUTSIDE on the counter and never informed that it was ready until 5 minutes later when i was standing right in front of her. She said she called me 3 times, however that is untrue. After the man left with his order, i was the only car in the small lot for a moment, so it wouldnt be hard to figure that was my car, plus i was closer to the truck than the prior customer and parked directly in front of her. Honestly I try my best not to play the race card, but I can't think of anything else. I'm here on vacation and have traveled all over the world and have never experienced anything like I did today. I soooo upset I gave them any of my money. Plus when I asked for a bag, she said it would be 50 cents because I only order one thing, which was the Chicken Pad Thia. Never Again!!

I tried to write my review and go along with my business, but nope the owner mentioned me in someone else's review who was also unhappy with the service. Apparently "my friend" wrote the review. However I'm not here with friends, I'm guessing you are referring to my daughter! You being Asian does not speak to whether you are racist or not! I guess me communicating my dissatisfaction, makes me rude! How dare you!!! You are the dishonest one, I watched you sit my food outside on that counter and not say a word!!!! Also by the way, the person who you are referring to as "my friend", told me to forget about it and not write the review, so it's funny how she would all of a sudden write a review 😄 As a business owner myself, you never go back and forth with a customer! Do better! And since your glad to have one less customer, I will ensure when I review my trip with my travel platform, I let them know how...

The food trucks in Kauai are serious contenders for quality dining experience. At least in the south side I figure more business is done out of food trucks and what is described as “hole in the wall” kind of restaurants than the typical sit down style restaurants.

We went to Craving Thai because of the vegetarian options and also their advertised flexibility in customizing. We were not disappointed. There were quite a few vegetarian options and we settled on the vegetable rolls, Pad Thai and a Thai curry dish where we substituted meat with tofu.

The vegetable wraps were delectable. They had tofu, rice, carrots and some other veggies served with a side of peanut sauce. Very tasty.

The Pad Thai was good though different from the Pad Thai I typically find at Thai restaurants. Their noodles were much smaller potions and not the typical flat, rice Pad Thai noodles. Their sauce was very bland. Pad Thai comes with a strong sauce liberally smothering the noodles. They had some veggies and a side of peanut crumbles. They also did not provide for the side of sauces that typically come with the dish. Then again this is a food truck and perhaps unfair to compare them with the typical restaurant cuisine.

The taste was good though. It was dry but I finished the dish with some appreciation of their flavors.

The tofu curry dish was a disappointment. It was essentially peanut sauce and fried tofu with a seasoning of some spices. The combination of tofu, peanut, coconut milk made it very heavy and the taste was average. I would give it no more than a 5/10.

The prices of the dishes are on the higher side. But that is typical of Kauai, considering that it’s a tourist town and expensive to begin with (gas is about a $1 more per gallon than in mainland).

The server was very helpful and accommodating They had all these funny meme like statements around the serving window that was kind of endearing.

Would I go back? Yes, I think it certainly worth...

Took 35 minutes to get our foods they ran out of rice and chicken but didn’t tell us. We ordered at 6:15pm. There were 8 other people in line ahead of us. While a very pleasant woman took our order, she was replace with a much different woman who was extremely rude. When we asked about our food 30 minutes later (and after seeing a young family out in their order way after us get their food) she said “don’t order food when we are busy” slammed the window and said “we are closed” not worth the wait for the pad Thai or fried rice. I should mention that in her reply she claims that there were 40 people in front of us and that we were told they ran out of rice (we weren’t told that). She also claims we went back to our resort and wrote this review (we didn’t, we wrote it there). She kept slamming this piece of paper on the window that said they took their time to cook food but was super agitated and rude and said she didn’t take the order so it wasn’t her fault. I was shocked by how rude she was, and to make matters worse she claims Sam was a grown man, Sam is an 18 year old girl who witnessed her display in front of everyone. There were two other trucks there (sushi and Mexican) and both served food quickly and it was delicious with no attitude. .go elsewhere, the food wasn’t...

We were starving! We showed up and ordered and were informed we had two tickets ahead of us and it would be 10 to 15 minutes for our food. First of all it took over 20, second of all they gave us our curry soup with only two containers one completely full of the soup the other completely full of rice I went back and asked for a container to mix it all and was told I would need to pay for the extra container... wait, what?! it literally blows my mind that I was trying to support a local business and they were so unbelievably rude and unprofessional it blew my mind enough to make this review! Do yourself a favor go to Monster Sushi next to them, you will be much happier!

We eat here regularly and everything is delicious. I especially love that there is a variety of vegetables in the dishes as well as a nice serving of vegetables not just a couple. The thing that they have nailed is it’s very consistent unlike most every other restaurant on the island. I LOOOVE the tapioca but only complaint is I have slowly seen the portion size get smaller and smaller, which is kind of disappointing to pay more and get less food. Please bring back the normal serving size and don’t skimp. That’s all. Otherwise amazing and if you’re thinking of trying this place you should.
