In short it is a normal ice cream shop that is no different than most places on the main land. Coffee was weak, smoothies were not made from whole fruit (same old puree you can get anywhere.) Pastries were expensive and second rate. This place is fine if you have kids and just want to get them some sweets or places like jamba juice and cinnabon meet with your satisfaction.
A note on finding great coffee: If you are a snob like me. For a rocking cinnamon roll and decent coffee go to Kalaheo coffee company 7 minutes up the road. For first rate coffee go to the little fish in hana pe pe where they have Kona coffee which is the best in the world. If you have a coffee machine in your hotel just forget trying to find high grade coffee from a cafe and get some high grade stuff from the super market. By the lay of the land I could tell that the locals and the average tourists obviously do not have a taste for expensive coffee. When the Hyatt and luxury golf courses do not carry Kona coffee or anything of upper end quality, you know its because most americans are use to...
Read moreEdited review: Stopped in town to window shop and explore and pick up some souvenirs and groceries and made a point to come here for ice cream. They had some of the island flavors you'd expect (mango, coconut), and the ice cream itself was nice and creamy. The staff were fine. Maybe it's peak tourist season and they are over us (totally understandable). The woman who rang us up was lovely and a highlight. Anyhoo, it hit the spot (especially for this girl who loves ice cream more than shave ice-unpopular opinion in my family!). The initial reply to my first review, however, was a bummer. I would hope that you could hear someone did not have the best experience and strive to understand why and make it better (rather than being rude). But because I appreciate small businesses and want ice cream to live on I have edited my review (and upgraded from three to four stars). I wish you...

We stopped in for coffee and breakfast but we left with new friends! The coffee was top notch and locally made. The food was prepared fresh NOT from a package/microwave. Many great gifts and cool history on the ceiling about the sugar mill. All without breaking the bank. But the BEST part of this place is the staff. Becky and Angelica were not only great at their job, they were SO friendly. They answered our silly tourist questions 🤪 and shared some secrets with us for our vacation. Our kids couldn’t remember the name of the shop and started calling it Becky’s. 😆. We went back a second day just to see them before we left! These two had the most genuine, beautiful example of the Aloha spirit! Thank you Becky and Angelica for making our vacation better and memorable!!! Mahalo!! See you next...
